Both images are really nice. The red and white uniforms are striking but the b&w conversion is good too. The pitchers expression is priceless. I also like the shadow of him on the mound, particularly the raised left leg. |

Hi Shaikh, I see a great improvement in your post processed image. I like David's suggestion of removing the flower in the right lower portion of the frame, just beneath the butterfly wing. The flower doesn't add to the composition and it's removal, to me, would create more emphasis on the nicely focused wing. |

Hi Jesse, When I first looked at your image I was amazed at the color. To my knowledge plants such as these are always green but I recently saw the mate to your beach flower. The color was similar. Fine focus...the background green is distracting though. With a little more work this could be a real winning image. |

I like the "fuzzballs" as you call them. The focus in this image is sharp, it's the chicks themselves. You did a good job of post processing. I like the background and the lighting. Good job of hand holding that big lens! |

Great reflections in an unusual scene. I like the vibrancy of the greens. The "rules" say not to put an object in the center of the frame but in this case is works. I tend to agree with Jesse regarding the dead branches. To me, they are a distraction, my eye is moving throughout the frame and does not have a comfortable place to rest. |

The turkey is in excellent focus from tail feathers through beak and placed nicely in the frame. Good angle. I see a problem with the background. Would it be possible to change the background completely? Perhaps make a portrait of the subject? Suggestions from other group members? |

Hi Lisa, I think you accomplished what you set out to do. Nice sharp focus on the stamen (?) using f4. Spring flowers are now abundant in my part of the country. |

Hi Patrick,
Roman would be proud of you! Very nice capture. The flashlight is an excellent tool for close-up flower photographs. Your post processing work was done well on both Original 2 and Flower Light. I do like the the background of Flower Light. To me it is a little more interesting than a black background which is seen more commonly. Good work. |

Hi Murphy, You have been photographing for a long time with excellent results. The conversion from a slide to what we see today on the computer was involved in my estimation; but worth the effort. I see sharp focus on the little violets. The background is complimentary. Very nice lighting as well. |

Hi Rosangela,
Frost patterns are fun to play with as they are so delicate and lace like. Hope you don't mind but I played with your image. See what you think. I do not have Lightroom only PhotoShop Elements. First I cropped along both sides to remove the white non-patterned background. After that I used the Clone tool in Elements to replace several areas along the left side of the frame. Our goal is to try to get it as right as possible in the camera but sometimes just a little crop will make a big improvement. You can probably do that in Lightroom. Anyway, nice work for your first frosty image!
