John, the Corn Palace is an interesting building and somewhat difficult to photograph. So many different elements and portions to be considered. Good idea to remove the stop sign. And straighten the building plus adding sky and rebuilding the towers. Nice work. |

Hi David, Group 9 is an extraordinarily creative group this month. I like the O'Keefe effect on the spoonbills and the blending of soft colors. You have given us a peaceful looking image. Thank you. |

Hi Shaikh, You are proving to be a master manipulator. Thanks for including all the steps in creating your image. The butterfly is sharply focused. It could be a Genie floating away on a magic carpet. Good work. |

Hi Allen, I like the "Bottles". And how you arranged them by color. It is fun to experiment with the many filters in Photoshop. I should do more of that. Nice abstract! |

Debbie, Congratulations on your awards. You are an excellent photographer. I would like to suggest you enter some PSA competitions, perhaps PPD Print of the Month Gallery. Whether you are selected or not you will receive a good evaluation of your submitted work. You might get some letters behind your name.
This month's image shows exquisite lighting. The well lit bird against the dark background is exceptional. I also like how the light fades off to the left of the frame. Very good focus. Very, very good image!! |

Hello, The flower has good color and sharpness. The pink stands out amongst the surrounding dark leaves. I like the little bud popping up to the left. I would suggest cropping along the top of the frame. There is not much interest in that area. Plus the leaves are "tattered and torn". You could repair them. I do like the composition with the flower in the lower right of the frame. |

Hi Jesse, The process of combining multiple images together is called focus stacking. It's done in close up and landscape photography. Sharp focus from front to back. I keep things simple and would not attempt it.
With this image I was trying to produce a "high key" image with a stark white background. I did not succeed. Next time I will use another lighting source in addition to window lighting. Always something more to learn. |

Greetings Patrick, Good focus and placement of the lily in the frame. There are several droplets of water on a few of the petals which are a plus. The white petals and yellow center of the lily are very well lit. Lisa's suggestions for the background are to be noted. |

Hi Murphy, This image is wonderful. I really like the bright colors. The idea to add a filter worked very well and you picked a good one. As suggested, I also would consider removing the bolt on the lower right. Great lighting and composition! |

Greetings Khai, The focus in your image is very sharp. To me an unusual plant which I find interesting; particularly the shape and veining system. I also like the blur of the background. Good post processing work with the addition of the second blossom. |

Hi Karen, Lisa has given you suggestions and visual feed back which does make an improvement to your creative capture of the Extra Bolt. Your initial find was only the beginning of a very interesting image. Great to have digital dialog to help us along in our search for appealing photographs. |

Hi Pat....Thanks for your suggestion. See how it worked out. I like it. An improvement! But...the stem could be shortened a bit. I'll keep that in mind for the future. |

Hi Lisa, Interesting image with an appropriate title. I am trying to figure out how it was done. However, it is a sharp, well focused image. Nicely placed in the frame with good lighting. Having fun with critters! |
