The vibrant blue of the roofs against the white of the buildings is striking. The fog was favorable, it just permits the viewer to see a little of what is in the distance. The person between the two prominent domes is of interest to me. Very nice! |

I like the composition with two subjects. Lighthouse and pier-head? Terminology? I also like the distance between the two structures and the slope of the land between them. Creates interest. The color of the snow in the original is nice and white although it does not have the texture of the larger image. My preference is undecided. Good focus throughout. |

You caught the pelican in mid-flight. Good stop action. I like the composition with the bird in the upper portion of the frame. You have left enough room for the subject to continue it's flight downward. A little unusual but that is what I like about it. |

Shaikh, You have almost met my goal of capturing a field of hay bales. No red barn, but very nice! I like the cropping along the lower portion of the frame. The grasses are now all sunny and gleaming. The tedious work of removing the towers and wires is very well done. Nice work and an incentive to continue my search for hay bales with barns. |

Congratulations! Happy to hear you are entering competitions and winning awards. Your work is so very good. "Love" is another great image. Good composition, lighting, focus, background, etc. I do like the stroke but would prefer it to be around the edge of the image. |

I remember this image. There is a big improvement in the re-worked background. Looks very natural and is pleasing. |

Hi Jesse, See the original image. In post processing I cropped along the left side and used the spot healing brush to fill in some wear above and in the triangular tiles. There was a railing along the top of the staircase that I was able to rest the camera lens on. Don't know if you ever were given the advice of holding your breath when clicking the shutter when not using a tripod. I may have done that subconsciously as well. Thanks for the positive comments. |

Hello Patrick, Both images are really quite nice. A plus for the B&W version is the fact that the white is white, sometimes hard to accomplish. Complements on all your post processing efforts. |

Hi Murphy, Love the flowers and their background. Colors are complementary. You have fine focus and good lighting. I especially like the little renegade in the lower left. Gives good balance to the entire frame. Very, very nice. |

Hi Lisa, A great monochrome! Frog and background are perfect together! I see texture and circular patterns. The entire frog could be sharper but....... still an interesting image. Good color and lighting. |

Yes, I see interest in "Emerging" It's a nice abstract with good complementary colors that are bright and eye-catching. Focus and lighting are very good. Personally, I would like to see an equal distance of background on either side of the bud. Peculiar thinking....on my part. |

Hi Charles, I think you've met your goal of creating a softer and brighter look to the previously submitted dahlia. The original is beautiful! Again, I admire all the work you put into the images you submit. The "soft flower" has it's own beauty. I like it but wish several of the upper petals had a bit more color. Others mentioned the blue line. As is, it can be a distraction. I rather like it's appearance on the left but would try to blend it in a little better on the right of the flower. The subdued color of blue does not bother me. |

Khai, Extremely good photo of a white iris. The white is white, the focus is sharp and the background is pleasing. You chose an excellent specimen with interesting yellow accents. The water droplets are a a nice addition. Fine focus. |
