I like the chiaroscuro effect you applied. There is much more interest in the sky. I also like the two figures in the lower right of the frame. What a difference from the original image. |

After studying "Abstracted Leaves" I would prefer if it were cropped almost in half. The empty space in the lower portion of the frame is bothersome to me. In my opinion, this image would be stronger and have much more abstract appeal if cropping were done. |

Because of the sizing of the image it is hard to make a helpful comment. The composition looks good with the center of interest just above the middle of the frame. Interesting colors. Lensbaby is a unique addition to the grouping of lenses one can have in their camera bag. |

I like the composition and think you have a good photograph of the bird, particularly under less than perfect conditions. I'm not so sure of the post processing. I would like to see the bird in focus, the background/foreground "painterly" but that may be tedious work. The narrow frame is complementary. |

I agree with David's comment regarding the last tulip. It would be nice if the whole flower were in the frame. The line he mentioned could be easily removed. I like the strong contrast between the red and green and the gradual loss of focus from front to back. Three is always a good number to work with. |

You did a great job of straightening the fence. The focus is sharp throughout. I think this image would be most unusual in a grouping of fences. Best of luck in the competition! |

Khai, Sharp focus and pleasing colors. Just one or several leaves would make an attractive macro photograph. |

Hi Murphy, A nice preview of the weather to come in certain areas of the country. I particularly like the composition in this image with the leaves hanging down against the aqua sky. The band of snow along the top of the frame is in good proportion to the balance of the picture. Good focus on the four+ main leaves and the snowy crystals. Very nice! |

Hi Charles, An orchid? Whether or not the central part of the flower has many interesting/integral parts. I like how you have sharpened the center and faded the focus on the edges. Once again I have admiration for the work you put into the images you present to this group. And elsewhere I'm sure. Until January....good holidays in between. |

Hi Lisa, Your image is outstanding in every way. Color, composition, lighting, impact and technical qualities. I really like the position of the frog and how he is just peeping around his archway. The colors work well together The green of the frog is complimented by the multi-colors of the leaves. Having a black background is perfect. Excellent! |
