I, too, like the original image but am happy to see you have achieved the look you wanted. The contrasting colors in this image are great. The sharp focus on the flower and the shallow focus on the background make an outstanding image. I will look for you in Pittsburgh. |

Little Thaddeus is a sweetheart and his photo is excellent.
Your choosing to convert to black and white was a good decision. Hope to see more of him in the future! |

I really like the golden color in this image. I do agree with the others in regards to the background but.... sometimes it's almost impossible to separate background from a subject in the foreground when so close. The web is focused sharply. Glad to hear your storm damage was minimal. |

Nice stop action shot with good focus on the rider. As others have mentioned an uncluttered background would have made a spectacular shot. Happy to hear your recent losses were only trees. |

Your post processing work is very good with the exception of the flat portion on the bottom of the ball. Easily fixed? The new position of the ball is right on. Good focus throughout and great composition. |

Hi Murphy, Wow,such vibrant colors and against a complementary background. I do not think I have ever seen this type of fuchsia. The fuchsia I have seen are sold in the spring in hanging pots. The flower heads are somewhat intricate, perhaps deep pink with a purple throat. You have created a very pleasing photo with good color, lighting and composition. |

HI Karen, I like your image and find it appropriate for this time of the year. The fall colors are very appealing to me. The texture and fine focus is great. You asked for suggestions; although I really like the image as is, perhaps it might be somewhat even more appealing if cropped along the top. I like the colors, patterns and saturation of the bottom portion a little more so than the top. |

The bird is well positioned in the frame and on the leaf. Fine focus on the goldfinch with a nicely blurred background. |

Hi Charles, I like the composition in this image, nice leading line into the frame along with the other supporting lines. Excellent sharpness in the entire image. This submission is a change of pace.....in nature, most of the time, we look for beautiful, colorful flowers and oftentimes ignore the interesting forms found in common monochromatic subjects. |

Hi Lisa, You certainly did get everything in focus, sharp focus. The eyes are outstanding. The material the frog is sitting on is complementary to his body color. I like the solid black background. Good composition with the subject in the center of the frame. It works well in this case. Very nice work. |
