Greetings Allen, I appreciate your creativity and your post processing work. Maggie is in good focus and her background is appropriate in both content and color. I love the starburst effect and the fairy placed in front of her. Expression....priceless. I do have to agree with the others in regard to the second fairy, the butterfly, the tip of her second ear and the two light spots. You might try editing and see if the photo isn't even more appealing. |

Hello David, I see a lovely spring photograph. I like the position of the hay bale; good composition. I also like the layering effect between flowers and strips of grass. Colors are bright and complementary. Nice lighting as well. If this were my photo I would crop along the bottom and remove some of the out of focus portion. Just a personal preference. |

Hi Shaikh, I am in agreement with David. I like the original image better. The sky is grainy to my eye and personally I do not care for the glowing edge filter in this case. To me, it takes away from the natural environment. The original image has a serenity about it. Looking at it gives me a feeling of peacefulness. I thank you for including your post processing directions. |

Hi Debbie, I like the effect of the parent standing above it's baby. A rather unusual composition and that's why I like it. The baby is in sharp focus. All of your bird pictures are excellent. I see a branch just above the babies eye that has a dark center. To me it's in competition with the bird's eye. Post processing is done well. |

Hi Jesse, The focus on the little boy is nice and sharp. As to the background, it is a tad distracting, a wider aperture would have helped but as is, it's not really annoying. I like the splash of red with the diagonal line of the planes body running from right to left underneath the subject. |

Hi John, Although I am not familiar with Paintshop Pro I really like what you have done with it. Your image is very attractive; good focus, sharpness and composition. All the colors work well together. Nice lighting as well. I understand why it did well in competition. Very nice work. |

Khai, Your Oriental Foxglove is a perfect specimen and placed nicely in the frame. The colors are harmonious; the brightness of the flower against the background of green is very pleasing. As others have mentioned, yourself included, it is somewhat over-sharpened. |

Thank you for your helpful comments. In regards to flipping some images I will consider the best orientation for "pleasing" the judges at competition. Thoughtful and kind suggestions are always welcome. |

Hi Pat, I like the simplicity of this image. The new green leaves against the tan, shallow focused background is extremely nice. Composition is good with the branch coming into the frame on an angle. The variations in lighting on the leaves is interesting. I see a good spring image. |

Hi Charles, Your image is very well done in all aspects. Color, focus, lighting, composition, interest, etc. are all right on. The background is perfect. And the bee flying in at just the right time is a certain bonus. I do like the image flipped. Perhaps Lisa and Barbara will influence us in considering the orientation of our images. Lovely! |

Hi Charles, You have brought glory back to the old Ford. I think you have done a fine job in post processing. Good texture, focus and lighting. The greenish color surrounding the radiator tells the story of age and abandonment. For me, there is interest. I also enjoy photographing old and classic cars. Very nice work! |

Hi Lisa, Straw flowers.....I'm thinking of the garden variety but you have a good title as you did create a straw flower. I like the image and the creativity it took to produce the end result. I also like the blue/lilac colors and the new patterns differing from the original image. Very nice. |

Hi Karen, The lighting and content of this image is superb. For me there is great interest due to the unusual seed head and the curved portion on it's bottom. The focus is sharp and the golden tones against the black background is outstanding. If this were my image, (I would gladly take credit for it!) I would darken the light spot on the top of seed head. As is....impressive. |
