Alan, What a crisp image you made here out at a focal lenght of 400 mm. I feel the highlights give the image some punch.
I feel that Elsa is so intensly focused on her task/lessons that she's in a zone of learning which comes naturally to her . The space on the right of her is very large and gives a sense of openness and the space you left on the left side makes the image strong.
My only suggestion would be to bring the lens wider so that one could get a bit of a view of exactly what's in her sights - Maybe a horse ? Maybe an instructure ? Mayby a student or friend that's riding right now ?

Very cool shot. Where was this taken ? The rich red wall that could almost be adobe ( i think ) and the blue makes it a photo of great imagination.
If we could have some direction in the photo of where the eyes should go may be good.
I think you need a similar window, or something on the right side of the umbrella that would connect the window with , perhaps, another window on the right side of the building.
I love the texture and color.

I can't tell you how much I love this image. The pier going off in the distance with people walking along the fraigil structure is really well done.
I love the stormy feeling , the slow water/waves coming in and out, the texture the pier invokes.
Only suggestions: The water white caps at the beach line a a bit blurred and I wonder if the exposure was not quite so long if that would make a difference.
Great job and thanks... |

Craig, very cool effect. I would have never thought of doing something like this. This image reminds me of an M.C. Escher drawing. There is this great feeling I get of the people navigating through a maze together while out enjoying the day. I feel that they have their own groups but are all making progress together ( sounds odd maybe but that's the feeling I get from the image). The brights and darks criss cross in such an interesting pattern.
This is a great photo and I hope you can print it and put it on your wall....
Congrats....
