HI Alan, Great image - I am sorry to take so long to reply to your image though -
Getting this image on the fly like that is really a gem and often not possible to switch lenses and get the image right away - without missing the subject altogether. The angle of the bird in the frame works well and the detail in the face and wings is outstanding to me. I only have a small suggestion: The steeple looks like you may have added too much texture thereby making it a bit to grainy , and the sky being so blue keeps drawing my eyes off the subject. I wonder if you lowered the blue saturation how the image would look. Thanks and great job. |

Josh, Sorry for the delayed response to your image....
First , This image is really beautiful. The texture stands out to me. The color enhances the whole image. I would not make it B&W nor change the cropping. Cropping it in makes it to constrained and less open and accessible in my view. The waves coming in , the morning fog, Roo staring out to the sea contemplating what's out there, and the bird all work really nicely with the various colors they represent. I love the line from Roo to the bird, going outward to the unknown distance. The lines that lead along the coast all pushing outward with a fierce might - Great image.... Thanks. |

Hi David, Sorry for the delayed reply in commenting on this photo.
Great shot - the sun rays are amazing in the distance and the sunflowers in the foreground with the green works really well. I took the image and zoomed in a bit cropping out part of the stems which cover a very small part of the image. I like it that way without the stems in the very lower part of the photo. It makes the whole image stand out more. Thanks for the shot - I really like it. |

Craig, Please excuse my delayed reply.......
Great image - The timing and symetry is really good and took a lot of time and work to get this image. There mouths being open at the same time , as if they are saying the same thing harmoniously really jumps out to me. I would not change anything in the photo. It looks very natural to me as if you've got them just right in their own habitat where they are the happiest. |
