Hey Josh,
I revise my comment. I like the onethat you editied much more. When I look at it on a different brightness on my laptop I see it's much more crisp than I originally thought.
Nice work.

I agree with you Josh. That's what I like as well. We should definately have an ongoing dialogue over the month of all tips , critique, techniques, etc.
I'm anxious to do that so we can all get each others perspective.
I want to establish a Zoom that we can all participate in if that works. What do you think ?

Okay, sorry , I'm not getting it. I am not sure why the waterdrop just above the water is surging up... I'm sure there is a very technical explanation - just not clear on that though... -:) |

I just realized , I could try to crop it differently as well and see if that eztends the sky more (if I have enough sky to do that). |

I can try extending the sky. Can you describe how to do that ? I'll give it a shot. |

Hi Josh, I like the mist over the hill sliding down to the sea.. Very nice... I love the beach. I went to Bethany Beach, Delaware in September for my B-day and it was the first time I had been to the beach for years. I would like to see the photo dehazed a bit from the bottom of the hillside going up - just a tiny bit, the hillside keeps drawing my eyes and I want to see the whole photo work together more. Also, I think the birds on the beach leading out to the water would stand out more.. Thanks .... |

Hi Jo-Ann, love the shot - beautiful structure.
I googled the image and got hundreds of hits in google. Many of the images had the building leaning to the right and some did not. So, I am assuming that the building is leaning to the right. The only comment I would have is to crop it with the center of the walkway leading up and much less of the green bushes on the left and right sides... don't think they add to the image and are a bit distracting. Also, You could saturate the builing more and bring the sky out a bit (not too much).
Thanks! |

Alan, what a great shot. You've captured all of the dogs with their tounges out.. Love it.. Just the second one on the left is not wagging his tounge but it's not important in the shot at all... The motion is great and you can feel the excitement of the race in progress..
Such a great shot! Thanks for this... |

Love the shot. Very interesting, and nice technique. I notice your shutter is 1/100 - I am suprised you could get this image with that speed, I woul have thought at least 1/500, or 1/1000. Can you clarify this ? Did you possibly mean 1/1000 instead of 1/100 ? Also , what was the timing between when the water drop started coming down and the shutter click ? Which is the 1st, and which is the 2nd water drop ?

Nice Shot.... The soft backgroud and the crisp foreground are give almost a 3D look to the photo. The horse and the model look connected almost , maybe thinking similar thoughts, and happy to be where they are. I cannot keep my eyes off the bright red scarf the model is wearing, it seems to coincide nicely with the alomst amber/orange color of the horses head. Also, I notice the splash of red on the left lower side of the model , about where the length of her hair ends , and it adds greatly to the photo... Great one... ! |

I should say more about the image................
I was trying to get the sun comiing in on the West side of the church. I took dozens of photos similar to what you see here but at slightly differing angles... I was not expecting to get the Vigas (beams used in the traditional adobe architecture of the American Southwest) with so much clarity. This was in the last week or so and the weather was really fantastic in Northern New Mexico. I left the blue sky as I think it makes the image more interesting & provides somewhat of an open feeling. |
