49 Jan 23 Comment HI Josh, I love this photo.

Great job and visualization to get this one.

I agree that this like a morning boating on the water where the morning fog , and dew is so high that you can almost ust it with a knife. The sky and the water frame the photo for me and my eyes keep prying to find where the sky leads to.

Also, my eyes keep trying to pierce the mist and see what is beyond the sky.

Very interesting shot.....

49 Jan 23 Comment Nice photo Jo-Ann. The water is beautiful and I love blue water and the complimentary blue that is popping up in the hills. I don't think the left hill jetting out in the water adds to the photo. I wonder if you could have positioned yourself on the boat so that part is not in the photo and you keep everything else. Or, possibly you could have zoomed in tighter so that part of the photo is not included.
I love how the boats are mostly aligned together.

49 Jan 23 Comment Hi Craig,

I appreciate the photoshop talent. I am not sure I know how to view the photo. I need to think about this a bit. I am not sure I understand the effect you are going for here. The flowers are beautiful. Can you say more about what you were trying to accomplish , I just am not sure how to respond to the photo.

49 Jan 23 Comment This photo was taken at the Museum of National Museum of African American Culture and HIstory. I spent several hours there framing a whole variety of shots of ehse winding stairs. I converted this one to black and white. My goal was to capture people in motion , some walking up and others walking down these beautiful stairs. I also liked the sort of hazy look to it on camera; although, I could not see that haziness while taking the photo. I will be back there again until I get just the shot I want.

My ultimate shot would be to have those walking up be a bit higher on the stairs and to have a person/persons walking down the stairs at the same time and place.

I was suprised just how hard it was to capture this photo.

In post processing, I tamped down the bright light coming thru the windows and more clearly defined the separation between windows with the frames showing more clearly.
