Hi Craig, I love the Heron. I recently went to a park outside of DC (my hometown) and found a blue heron which was fun to shoot. Fred's eyes knock me out because he's trying to tell us something with his eyes.
I wonder though , if I could see more of the surroundings and environment that would kind of tell me more of a story - not sure if that makes sense. But , anyway, the other thing I was thinking is that you may also want to try cropping only his face/head. The angle of the camera for me makes me want to see him strait on or in a wider shot. |

Jo-Ann, I totally get the fantasy look. I love it. I don't think you should do much to change this photo. The path pulls my eyes forward and I want to see what's around it. I wonder if you could crop out what looks like maybe a white fence on the left. That does not add to the photo. I see a splash of snow on the ground and it reminds of walking down a path which leads to somewhere special.... -Owen |

Hi David,
I love landscapes and this is beautiful. I've been to the UK several times but never Scottland. That's one place I really want to travel through.
The spashes of red pull me in visually. I think if you were able to choose one of the two houses and zoom in more with your Tamron ( I love that lens) it would give it would help my focus. My preference is the house on the left zoomed in tighter , definately keeping the red house in the photo, and the leading line going between the red house and the brown house. I'm not sure the clouds and background help the photo and would like to see that cropped out if you could... Anyway, Thanks ! |

Hi Josh, I Like the coffee beans.. nice and crisp. This could be in an advertisement for coffee. I really like all the patterns your eyes follow when looking at the random order of the beans. Lots of shapes and angles, lines. A couple of things I'm curious about: I'm wondering why you shot at 8 seconds exposure and an F8 aperture? Just curious why you chose those settings. It seems like you could achieve the same at a wider aperture and shorter shutter speed , but this is just a curiosity. I am always trying to figure out for myself why I chose certain settings on my camera. Thanks, -Owen |

Hi Dicky, Wow... Beautiful colors. I really like the lines leading to the brdidge. That is a hard shot because you have such a limited time period to capture the 'best shot' so I really appriate the effort to get this one. Thanks, Owen |
