Brenda - Nice! I love how you got a great foreground leading me back into the beautiful sky. They say the best equipment for a photographer is an alarm clock. This image proves it! |

Wow! I just said "Oh, my!" when I saw this. Absolute stunning. Dying to go to Costa Rica to shoot. Love the colors and the detail. Just great! |

Pierre - I think they are trumpeter swans, although my Birds of Ohio books shows tundra swans to be more common in Ohio. A quick check showed me this:
"The state-threatened trumpeter swan is found in wetlands in northern, central, and southeastern Ohio. In 2021, the number of breeding pairs increased to 111 pairs, 68 of which were successful. The number of cygnets jumped to the highest number ever of 260."
So I am going with trumpeters, but I see I misspelled cygnet (and Alexa was no help ;-( |

Thanks, Brenda. I did include the RAW file in my November photo, I believe.
I obviously need some help with cropping. I think I am trying to follow the "rules" too much. Here the swans all face left, so I left space on the left for them to swim. |
