24 Mar 23 Comment Don't want to surprise you, but I actually Love this image. I don't know if you created the color and the monochromatic rendering is really exceptional. Mar 5th

24 Mar 23 Comment I Usually prefer my flowers tack sharp but in this case it's a very interesting "take" and was very well exeduted. Mar 2nd
24 Mar 23 Comment I love the flower but I think it needed a bit of work so I made some changes and wonder what you think. First, I sharpened the flower using Topaz Studio 2. Then I closed out all o the white "fluff" as I found it a distraction and a a final step, I cloned out the yellow leaves on the upper right using content aware fill. What do you think? Mar 2nd

42 Mar 23 Comment I am a big fan of photographing flowers and recently got Barbara to set one up. When she sent out the notice, she wound up with so many requests she had to set up several. This one is absolutely beautiful. Although Stu mentioned that small piece of flower on the bottom, I, personally don't find it intrusive. I love the fact that you didn't frame it. I am currently "re-teaching" an old friend Photoshop and we just had a discussion last week about stroking things surrounded in black for projection. I hope you don't mind, but I'm going to use this image as a perfect example of why not to. Mar 5th

48 Mar 23 Comment Too bad I don't. My invitation for a stopover on your way home still stands. This is lovely although when I get a chance, I may to add a bit more contrast by darkening the bg a bit. Mar 6th

48 Mar 23 Comment I have never tried high key but this one is lovely. Save this one to use on your Christmas Cards it's better than anything I've seen and can be used for everyone as the feeling it sends is beauty and peace. Mar 5th

48 Mar 23 Comment Don, so happy you have finally joined me. I know that you will find everyone in this group to be more than willing to be of assistance any time and the suggestions are always well meant and helpful. As to elements, I went from CS6 to the subscription. For me it's worth a heck of a lot more than the monthly fee of $ 10. There are so many free tutorials, etc., and unlimited support from Adobe, it has taught me a whole new world of options.
As to this image, the flower is beautiful, but I'm not big fan of the background you chose so, since I started working with flowers in earnest, I've learned a lot about backgrounds and collected a whole library of them. I'm going to include a couple of suggestions here for your thoughts.

48 Mar 23 Comment Love the Miami Zoo but it's a bit far for me so I have to settle for Palm Beach. This one would scare the h... out of me if I were to encounter it somewhere on the loose; and, as usual you've more than done it justice. Great image! Mar 5th
48 Mar 23 Comment I used to have a subscription to Butterfly World here in Florida and visited as often as I could to capture them. Love this one. This year I chose the zoo but I have to tell you Butterfly World is more interesting. They are really beautiful creatures and you've more than done this one justice. Mar 5th
48 Mar 23 Comment Love the image. It is beautiful and I do like Mary's suggestions as well. There really isn't anything I can say that would offer any more than has already been said. Mar 5th
48 Mar 23 Comment Love the fisheye effect. I had one with an older camera and keep talking about replacing it. The coloring is excellent, the starburst is outstanding. Overall a beautiful eye catching image Mar 5th
48 Mar 23 Reply My husband bought one of the small scanners that converts film to digital. It was a fun project, but honestly I doubt that it's worth the work to improve it I don't use lightroom but will attempt some of the suggestions using Topaz and see if that helps and post the results.
