1 Jul 22 Comment I would just tone down the leaves a bit as they tend to distract from the flies Jul 8th
1 Jul 22 Comment I like the image but to my eyes the body of the cones could be a bit sharper Jul 8th

3 Jul 22 Comment Love the feeling behind the image but the image for me is missing some "punch" I think LuAnn put the punch in with her suggested improvement.

20 Jul 22 Reply I started doing it for no particular reason. Don't remember why Jul 20th
20 Jul 22 Reply My son is actually a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Photography and my favorite critic. Weather is awful upper 90s every day but I guess that's better than what's going on in Europe these days. Jul 19th
20 Jul 22 Comment The image is beautiful. Here's a suggestion for you...go to any bowling alley take a neighbor, a kid, or even tour wife, if she's game. Use one of their balls and create your own bowling session. Then you can create as many ghosts as you like.
I'm a flower person and when it's too hot or raining, I go to Home Depot or Lowes and spend time in their garden department shooting to my heart's content. Good Luck.
Jul 17th
20 Jul 22 Comment The filter you chose is terrific. I much prefer it to Bob's choice. I've often said I'd trade in my firstborn before I'd give up some of the filters I've acquired over the years. There isn't an image have that hasn't been touched by Topaz.
Very well done.

21 Jul 22 Comment I love your sense of humor. Having done this myself several years ago and I only did it with 8 images I know how much work goes into it. This is a very well planned and executed image. If you figure out on how to capitalize on it, don't hesitate to count me in. Jul 17th

24 Jul 22 Comment Thanks to all for your valued suggestions. I will definitely be uaing them when preparing for competitions. Jul 24th
24 Jul 22 Reply thanks Jul 19th
24 Jul 22 Reply Tom, how does one create an average blur?? Jul 19th
24 Jul 22 Reply Thanks so much it made a lovely difference. Jul 18th
24 Jul 22 Comment This is a beautiful flower but I find it a little soft. I've seen that with some other images using the lens baby as well so I tried to sharpen it a bit in Topaz Studio 2 but did not have much success. Jul 18th
24 Jul 22 Reply I absolutely agree with you. Thanks. Jul 18th
24 Jul 22 Reply I personally feel that the sharpening is a really added plus Jul 18th
24 Jul 22 Reply I played with it a little and came up with the attached improvements (I hope). Let me know what you think. Jul 17th
24 Jul 22 Reply Thank you. Jul 17th
24 Jul 22 Comment Will give it a shot. Thanks for the heads up. Jul 17th
24 Jul 22 Reply I used to be able to do just that but we're in a condo and have nowhere for garden space so I grab every opportunity I can. Jul 17th
24 Jul 22 Reply Thank you. I find that home depot is a wonderful place when it's too hot to go outside. My next stop will probably be Lowe's for a change of pace Jul 16th
24 Jul 22 Comment I haven't seen any magnolias in Florida but whenever I see them online, I find them to be more than beautiful. That said, this one, too, is a beautiful flower and I love the monochrome. That being said, with all of the black I decided to play a bit and tweak the flower. I selected the flower, did an inverse, and then went to image adjust/brightness and moved the lever up just a small amount to take make the background less dark. I then clicked inverse again and clicked on vibrance. I adjusted the vibrance to increase it and then clicked on clicked on saturation to make the white stand out a bit more. As a final touch I selected the yellow center and brightened the center just a wee bit. What do you think?> Jul 16th
24 Jul 22 Comment The original image is on the upper right Jul 15th
24 Jul 22 Reply got it. Didn't realize it was transferred over. Jul 15th
24 Jul 22 Reply I kind of thought that you had chosen the background in the viewfinder. I have not seen your bio and, of course, would appreciate your sending it to me so I can post it with this group. Please understand that my comments were in no way to denigrate the image, just voicing my personal preference. Jul 15th
24 Jul 22 Comment The composition is very interesting. The colors definitely attract me to look further and I really like the background you've chosen. However, and this is a very personal "taste" I prefer my flowers to be sharper so they kind of scream, Here I am!.

44 Jul 22 Comment Nice image reminds me of Old Bethpage Village in NY. I was an ardent visitor there often there and got lots of great images. By the way, where is Newberry, FL? Jul 17th

48 Jul 22 Reply thanks so much. I wish I could remember to try this technique more often Jul 12th
48 Jul 22 Reply Personal preference I prefer the color Jul 11th
48 Jul 22 Reply It's really mostly a wonderful memory of a wonderful day. I know it's not really competition material. Thanks. Jul 9th
48 Jul 22 Reply I never saw those marks. They have to be an anomaly between the camera and whatever. Her face is absolutely clear. Have no idea how they got there. Jul 6th
48 Jul 22 Comment I love the panorama effect and each image is better than the last one. Well done. Jul 6th
48 Jul 22 Comment I actually think it's a great shot. I brightened it up a bit but I think I may have missed the head due to my 84 year old eyes, so please forgive that. Jul 6th
48 Jul 22 Comment Nice image. However, I found the fellow on his phone a bit distracting. I took the image into Photoshop and made him quite a bit darker and blurred it a bit. Do you think it made a difference. Jul 6th
48 Jul 22 Comment Lovely image. I agree with the comments regarding the haze. Another option if you have it is to visit the filters in Topaz studio 2 and play around with them. Jul 6th
48 Jul 22 Comment Great shot. Right on. Jul 6th
48 Jul 22 Reply never even saw it but will give it a shot. Thanks. Jul 1st

59 Jul 22 Comment I personally prefer the first labeled original because the rider's face is visible. It brings for me more of a sense of a real person. Stephen's crop is an added plus. Jul 9th

72 Jul 22 Comment This is a very good image but I doubt it would do well in a competition, solely for lack of exciting motion. Jul 9th
72 Jul 22 Comment They are both good shots but I have to admit I have to agree with Bruce regarding the face of the animals. I prefer the full face as well. Jul 9th

79 Jul 22 Comment Great. Love the colors, love the competition. For me, this is art. Jul 6th
79 Jul 22 Comment Your image is well done; however, I, too do not understand this as art. I'm still with the old masters. Jul 6th

81 Jul 22 Comment Lovely image. What I did to the background was to select the image and then select inverse. From there I sent to filter /blur and played with the settings. Jul 6th
81 Jul 22 Comment I am a sucker for beautiful flowers and the creativity behind this is unbelievable. As to the background an easy fix is to use a non-destructive layer mask. If you're not familiar with that, email me at bevandstu@gmail.com and I'll forward a very simple explanation. Jul 6th

82 Jul 22 Comment The image is technically perfect and the title is definitely apropos. However, I'm not sure how to comment on the subject, position of the bus, etc. I'll be looking forward to comments from your other group members. Jul 6th

85 Jul 22 Comment The image is lovely but the sky offers nothing to enhance it. So I went into Photoshop and did a sky replacement. What do you think? Jul 6th

87 Jul 22 Reply My husband is doing well thanks, but just not able to do extended walking and I really enjoy company when I go out to photograph so I'm currently exploring other opportunities to shoot Jul 8th
87 Jul 22 Comment Beautiful image. Jul 6th
87 Jul 22 Comment As a previous member of group 80 which was street photography as well, I love this image. I haven't rejoined another group as since my husband had a stroke and the advent of COVID, I haven't been getting out enough to update my street photography collection.

That sign could not have been better place. Well done.

93 Jul 22 Comment yes and you're right I guess I'm just a bit backwards today Jul 6th
93 Jul 22 Comment Nice image. My only suggestion would be to remove that sign on the upper right side. I tried to do it, but the image would not open for me in Photoshop. Jul 6th
93 Jul 22 Comment Nice image. It is a story of a peaceful gathering in what looks like small town USA. Jul 6th

96 Jul 22 Comment this is a lovely image. As to a suggestion, I try increasing the ISO which you have done here and open the lens as much as what seems to work. As a final step I cross my fingers. Yes Gigapixel as well as the sharpening process in Sharpen AI or Smudge in Topaz work well. The only thing with Smudge is you really need to reduce the smudge and increase the sharpen in that filter. Good luck. Jul 5th

99 Jul 22 Comment The image is excellent and I do like Linda's tweak as well. Sad to say, but as long as there are power hungry people on earth I fear it will never stop until we annihilate ourselves. My only consolation is I hope it doesn't happen in either my or my children's and grandchildren's life time Jul 5th
99 Jul 22 Comment This is "drop dead" gorgeous. Love the monochrome. Jul 5th
