1 Mar 22 Reply My husband recently bought a very inexpensive film and I believe slide scanner and it works extremely well. Go to group 42 and ask Stu what he bought and where he got it.

That aside, I love this image. The colors are terrific and the facial expression exude love.

5 Mar 22 Comment I love this. It is so very well done. There is an app which creates the film strip and I used to have it, but haven't been able to locate it for a while. If I find it, I'll be happy to pass it on. Mar 20th

10 Mar 22 Comment I received your email and started to respond when my computer went nuts and I couldn't find it again. Please resend so I can send you the material you asked for. Sorry for the inconvenience Mar 27th
10 Mar 22 Reply One of the best places to start learning some of this stuff is to go to Utube. A friend of mine told me that a few years ago and it turned out to be the best advice I ever got. Also, there are a few excellent photographers who do texture work. Take a look at mariealtenburg.com for her work. And if you email me directly at bevandstu@gmail.com I will be happy to send you some other suggestions that I have printed out for myself. Mar 22nd
10 Mar 22 Comment I agree with the comment about the top petal, so I brought it into photoshop and with a quick content aware fill and fine tuning with the clone took created the attached Mar 22nd
10 Mar 22 Comment This is gorgeous. Love the texture effect Mar 22nd

12 Mar 22 Comment you're welcome. Happy to help Mar 29th
12 Mar 22 Comment Your image is lovely; however, I somewhat prefer the portrait that Gavin created. I just feel it could have used a little "pop" so I took it into photoshop and went to image, adjustments, vibrance and played with the two sliders - vibrance and saturation. What do you think? 13 Mar 22 Reply The text is really easy to remove either with content aware fill or black paint brush. Glad you liked it. Mar 21st
13 Mar 22 Comment Interesting photo. I personally am a fan of "less is more" in most cases so I took the liberty of using content - aware - fill to eliminate the lines and wonder how you feel about that as a possible abstract. Mar 21st

14 Mar 22 Comment Magnificent result Mar 27th
14 Mar 22 Comment I've tried that not only with my own family but with some of my travel images that were taken in the days of printing everything and it is definitely not an easy job. This one is very well done. Mar 21st

15 Mar 22 Comment This is a really an amazing image. My suggestion, when you do this kind of work would be to submit the original as well so that the viewers have a point of reference. You did a great job. Mar 21st

18 Mar 22 Reply thanks. My request was made in the hope that everyone reads it and does the same in the future. There is a big push to get the participants in all the groups to expand their comments and processes. Thanks again. Mar 21st
18 Mar 22 Comment To quote Mark...this is Spectacular. I just wish when you do something this great you would be willing to share the process and include it in your description. It would make the learning process for all so much more meaningful Mar 21st

48 Mar 22 Reply Thanks. But as you know, there's no second guessing the judges. Mar 25th
48 Mar 22 Comment Thanks. I'm going to put it into next month's competition and see how it does Mar 15th
48 Mar 22 Reply Thank you Mar 10th
48 Mar 22 Reply It's an amazing country and the history is mindboggling Mar 7th
48 Mar 22 Comment Thanks Tom. The original image was on film too many years ago to remember but my gut feeling was that it might have been a wide angle or even a 50 mm shot from a distance and cropped off the top. Wonderful memories for me. Mar 6th

77 Mar 22 Comment I'm a sucker for a beautiful flower that's well done. In this case, I love the flower, but think that the bud takes the attention away from it and is kind of unnecessary. I eliminated the but with a content-aware fill and then made it more of a vertical rectangle getting rid of some of the dead space and making it about the flower only. Hope you like it. Mar 22nd

87 Mar 22 Comment This is a great image. Please, for everyone's benefit, when you do something like this particularly, but also whenever you submit something, include the information on how you created the final image. That's what makes the learning process so much more valuable. Mar 19th

88 Mar 22 Comment I am assuming that you used Photoshop sky replacement. I agree with the comments regarding the sky so I went to sky replacement, chose one that is a bit less "overpowering" and then just toned down that particular layer a bit. Would be interested in your reaction to the "finished" image Mar 19th
88 Mar 22 Comment Nice image but I do agree with Louis re the suggested adjustments

90 Mar 22 Reply The image is great and I'm delighted to know it's not my eyes. Keep up the good work. Mar 19th
90 Mar 22 Comment The only thing that bothers me about this image is the upper right corner so I cloned it out. Hope you like it. Mar 19th
90 Mar 22 Comment Beautiful image. The only thing that bothers me a bit is after adjusting my glasses a few times, the birds appear to me that they may be a bit less than perfectly sharp. Again it may be me Mar 19th
90 Mar 22 Comment Great shot. The only thing that bothers me a bit are the tiny white dots scattered around. They could be easily removed with a quick content aware fill. Mar 19th

99 Mar 22 Comment Love the lines in this image. As the others have made various comments and suggestions re the technicalities and just say great image. Mar 18th
99 Mar 22 Comment I had mixed emotions about this image till I saw Linda's edit. I much prefer this one. I kind of found the ones on the right drawing my eye away from the main subject Mar 18th
