Well deserved. Do come around and visit some of the other groups. There's always something interesting to see and learn from. |

The answer to the best of my knowledge is twofold. For these groups absolutely yes. When I do, I always mention it in my commentary. For competitions you would have to view the criteria of the contest. I haven't sold my photos but my personal feeling is that I see nothing wrong with it as one should be able to enhance their images to the best advantage. |

Lovely image but I agree with Neal but I felt the colors were a bit bland. So I opened it in Topaz studio 2 and sharpened it a little, enhanced the contrast. and added a bit of oomph to the colors ending with removing a couple of white spots. |

This is a very pretty shot. However, my eye runs from the body of the center to the filmy pods on my right. So I figured I'd try to get the center of the pod without distraction. I'm not 100% sure I love it but am offering it as an option.

Nice image, but I think Neal's improvement really makes it pop. |

This is a very nice image; but, I agree with Neal regarding the sky. So I opened the skies provided in Photoshop and chose one out of the myriad of options and here you see the result, |

My reaction to this judge is always mixed....he always talks about having Pop and his comment was that it was a pretty picture but not much more and then gave it a 9. |

It was actually a bus window, making it more of a real catch for me. |

I actually shot it in color but it was a very muted image. I Shot the color image and it looked terrible so I stated with the basics and sharpened it, converted it to B&W, enhanced the colors the contrast, etc., etc. and posted it. I tried to find the color copy to show you what it looked like, but I guess I loved it so much I promptly tossed it. |

"Processing" B&W is the easy part. Topaz filters work wonders. I actually shot the original with my Canon but photographed the print with my Panasonic DMC FZ200 which is a smaller camera with a somewhat better lens. It was shot at 1/8 se at f2.9 with an ISO of 400. Hope this helps. |

I took it on film in color. Hanging on my bedroom wall and quite faded. Shot the faded print with my Canon T2I and brought it back to life but not happy wo I converted it to a mono. |

Put it into competition last night...no comment about the judges, just that it's a nice house. I often wonder why I bother. Got a 9 out of 10 |

Very interesting photo. Photographically very well done. I do much prefer the monochrome. Leaves one thinking of all the possibilities of the situation. |
