1 Aug 21 Comment Whatever he is, he is adorable. Almost looks like he's posing for the picture. Great shot. Aug 25th

2 Aug 21 Comment I have Lightroom but never learned how to use it. I tried learning when I first got it and got so confused gave it up. I did print your instructions and they seem to be fine. Thanks. As long as I have the printout, you may hear from me one of these days with a question. Again, thanks. Aug 25th
2 Aug 21 Reply Thanks. I am going to save this and practice the technique. I do so wish that everyone who does these very unusual techniques would include them for very educational experiences for all. Aug 25th
2 Aug 21 Comment Your result is great. With an image like this, it would be terrific if you included a background of what you did to achieve the result. Imagine what a learning experience it would be for all of us. Aug 25th

9 Aug 21 Comment Great image and if it doean't make this state fair, it's their loss. Aug 26th
9 Aug 21 Comment Hi John, I agree with most of Steve's comments as well as with David regarding the removal of the cross. It's too large and draws attention away from the image. However, with a bit of work, this can be a winner. Aug 26th

10 Aug 21 Comment Love the image. What I did to straighten the cathedral was first to to Image Canvas size in Photoshop. I added some space at the top. I then selected some of the sky and the blank space and did an edit fill content aware which filled in the blank space with the sky. I followed that by selecting the image and went to transform/skew a couple of times to straighten. Hope that works for you. Aug 26th

11 Aug 21 Reply Well deserved Aug 26th
11 Aug 21 Comment I may never live long enough to understand focus stacking but this result encourages me to keep trying. Well done. Aug 26th
11 Aug 21 Comment Thousand times better in monochrome. Aug 26th

12 Aug 21 Comment Absolutely lovely. I've thought of about many different situations in which I'd like to try this but never seem to get around it...ooh well one of these days. Very well done. Aug 26th
12 Aug 21 Comment Nice image. Kept me entranced for a while trying to figure out of they were potatoes with a bunch of eyes or chocolate chip cookies - never thought of rolls till I read your description. The accoutrements make this a very well done image.

16 Aug 21 Comment Great image. I agree, Mohan, I don't see the need to flip it either. The first gentleman appears to me to be "leading the parade" so to speak. Aug 27th
16 Aug 21 Comment Love the monochrome. Other than enhancing the hat a bit, I have no suggestions for improvement. Aug 26th

17 Aug 21 Comment Very interesting story. I've seen one or two of these before but never realized it is an organized effort. And your image is excellent. Aug 27th

18 Aug 21 Reply Lately everything I do scores poorly in competitions so I might as well have fun. This one is not for competition but for a summer fun project for the club so maybe I'll be ahead of the game with luck. Thanks again. Aug 20th
18 Aug 21 Comment And here's the original Aug 19th
18 Aug 21 Comment Just wanted to tell you that I printed your image of May 2021 as a reference and finally got around to playing with your instructions. I made a couple of changes as I went and came up with what I've attached. I needed something for a summer project. It is so appreciated when instructions are included. Makes a wonderful learning experience. Aug 19th

24 Aug 21 Comment Love this shot. I only noticed the pink tint after Laura Lee pointed it out. We don't get surfers here in Florida but I did get a few of the water skiers and love going back to get more. This kind of action makes wonderful images. Aug 30th
24 Aug 21 Comment Tam, this is a beautiful image. I will offer a hint that I found helpful when shooting this kind of action.. If your camera can shoot several images in rapid succession, do it and you will often find one that stands out from the rest. In this case maybe a quick turn by the dancer might have moved the tutu away just enough to show a bit more of his face. Not to worry about your English. You got your point across very well. You might want to add a bit to your explanation when you post. Where was it, was it a special occasion, etc. It makes it a bit more interesting to the reader and will give you a bit of practice in using English.
Overall very well done.

26 Aug 21 Comment Great result. We have a train museum here in Miami but it's all indoors and doesn't offer the opportunity to get this kind of image. Aug 30th

29 Aug 21 Comment For me the image was a little flat so I brought it into Topaz Studio 2. I sharpened it a bit and then went to the filters and increased the saturation a bit . Hope you like the result. Aug 30th
29 Aug 21 Comment Love the image. Since there were comments regarding the sharpness, I took it into Topaz Studio 2 and smudge Enhanced the sharpness a bit and made a few other small adjustments. Hope you like the result. Aug 30th

48 Aug 21 Reply Thanks Joe. That shiny nose is apparently the new teen age make-up an very difficult to eliminate in photoshop. I'm open to any suggestions. Thanks for stopping by and for the good wishes. Aug 15th
48 Aug 21 Reply They most certainly are. I had it in competition on Tuesday and pulled a 9 out of 10 - the nose makeup was the killer. Aug 6th
48 Aug 21 Reply After looking at it carefully, I think it's in the upper left corner of the left eye. Aug 5th
48 Aug 21 Reply Both Tom and Stu did a better job than I did with that make up on the nose. Aug 4th
48 Aug 21 Comment My pleasure Aug 3rd
48 Aug 21 Comment The only thing I wish for this photo is that you had not cut off the outer arch over the door. Otherwise a great image. Aug 3rd
48 Aug 21 Comment I'm having a hard time deciding which I prefer. Love the textures and shading of the color image but the monochrome is extremely well done a well., It is great when everything falls into place and this is the hardest decision to be made. Aug 3rd
48 Aug 21 Comment To me the flower was not quite sharp and I felt the hand was taking up too much of the image. So, I first cropped the image leaving the hand as almost a frame. I then took it into Topaz Studio 2 and used the Sharpen option. Hope you like the result. Aug 3rd
48 Aug 21 Reply So do I - thank you. Aug 3rd
48 Aug 21 Comment Tom, you did a great job. Thanks. Although I love taking people, I am not a portrait photographer and this was really just a grab shot. Thanks so much. Aug 3rd
48 Aug 21 Comment Just found the original that I thought I had erased. Aug 2nd
48 Aug 21 Reply Thank you for visiting. The shiny areas on her nose and eye are her makeup and intentional on her part. I did not know how to eliminate them and I did not post the original because I accidentally erased the chip. I will see your image later this week Aug 1st

50 Aug 21 Comment Love this image. Well done and most certainly ditto Chuck's request. As an administrator (48) I am always encouraging my group to include originals but am not always successful. Aug 15th

52 Aug 21 Comment I am fortunate to have Butterfly Gardens about 15 miles from here. I read somewhere it is one of the largest in the world, which I'm not sure I believe but the convenience is terrific. And I only go in the winter because our summers in SE Florida are all hot and rainy. Aug 15th
52 Aug 21 Comment I was a member of Butterfly World here for many years and can truly appreciate the effort as well as luck needed to catch this kid of image. Well done. By the way, if no-one ever told you the curator told me that the best time to catch them was when the weather is colder, they are less active then. Aug 15th

58 Aug 21 Comment Having been to Cuba, before I even looked at the title, I knew it was Havana. I would not crop in this case, as I think it loses the ambiance of the location I love it just the way it is. Aug 15th

60 Aug 21 Comment Nice. Great sign of those times. I haven't been to a major city lately, but I don't doubt there are still a lot of places where this still holds true. Love your title Aug 15th

69 Aug 21 Comment I have both and prefer Smudge because I can make manual adjustments. Aug 23rd
69 Aug 21 Reply Brenda if you have Topaz Studio2 Go into Filters across the top bar to the left. Select Smudge then Sharpen. I think it does an excellent job . Good Luck Aug 23rd

74 Aug 21 Reply I was in Norway may years ago and absolutely loved it and the people. We were lucky had a great time and wonderful weather. Aug 15th
74 Aug 21 Comment Nice Bill Aug 14th
74 Aug 21 Comment I love this image but found the sky a large almost white attraction. So I first did a sky replacement in photoshop and since the one I liked was blue, I then opened Topaz Studio 2 and switched it to Black and White. I then, while in Topaz, went to filters (top bar left side) Stylistic, Smudge, Sharpen, and played with those sliders. I also toned down the brightness which is a yes or no. I prefer the clouds, how do you feel about the result? Aug 14th

76 Aug 21 Reply I thoroughly enjoy visiting as many groups as I can each month. I find there isn't a month goes by that I don't pick up a tip or two. Aug 14th
76 Aug 21 Comment I love this image. On my screen it appeared less that wow sharp. So I opened Topaz Studio 2 - went to Filters (upper left side of the top bar), clicked on Stylistic - Smudge - Sharpen and played with the filters to get this result. Hope you like it. Aug 14th
76 Aug 21 Comment The one change I would consider is to crop a bit of the greenery off the right side. I think it makes her stand out more and increases a bit the feeling of "flying" in space. Aug 14th

78 Aug 21 Reply I love visiting all the groups. There isn't a month that goes by that I don't pick up an idea or learn something new. Aug 14th
78 Aug 21 Comment The subject is the insect but the first thing that stands out is the lily and that's not sharp. I think you'd have a great image without that flower. What I did was cropped out the flower by selecting the image and then clicking inverse and painting the background black. Then I opened Topaz Studio 2 - went to Filters, Smudge, Sharpen and played with the sliders. After accepting the one I liked, I came back into photoshop, went to Image-Adjustments-Vibrance- Saturation and increased the saturation a bit. Hope you like the result. Aug 14th
78 Aug 21 Comment Great shot. Aug 14th

79 Aug 21 Comment The concept of this image for me is great; however, I find the blurred face of the gnome distracting. Probably my failing as I tend to prefer more realism in my images. Aug 14th
79 Aug 21 Comment I agree with Karl re cropping off some of the top. So I did and chose a yellow from one of the flowers as a frame. What do you think? Aug 14th

80 Aug 21 Reply Behind me was a myriad of tourists. Thanks. Aug 19th
80 Aug 21 Reply Just a thought not really fine tuned. If I had the time I probably would have worked a texture which can be much more exacting along the edges. etc. Aug 3rd
80 Aug 21 Comment Love her hand around the pole with the collection glass, and how you caught the young lady watching the dog while no one is really watching he musician. An image that can create a thousand stories about what's going on. Aug 3rd
80 Aug 21 Comment Not sure if it's my eye or if the image is a bit soft, so I brought it into Topaz Sharpen AI and sharpened it a bit. Aug 3rd
80 Aug 21 Comment This is a very well done image but I felt that it is really two separate images as they are so far apart from each other. So I selected the section with the fellow on the right. Copied it and lined it up with the right half of the photo. Flattened the layers and then cropped the left side to give the appearance that they were each not "in their own world". Aug 3rd
80 Aug 21 Comment The only thing I did to this was tone down the white building using image - adjust - brightness. Wish the motorcyclists were a bit larger, but that's street photography - we get what we get. Aug 3rd
80 Aug 21 Comment I find this a very interesting image and something you can keep looking at for different subjects. However, I also found that the people behind the table were a distraction. So, I selected the kids, then did an inverse selection and applied a gaussian blur to the distraction. What do you think? Aug 3rd
80 Aug 21 Reply Thanks Jamie and thanks so much for visiting another group. Aug 3rd

81 Aug 21 Comment Great action shot. I sometimes find cloning a bit cumbersome as my hand is not that steady any more. So I often use small "boxes" around the subject I want to eliminate and use content aware fill. You can see the result in my submission. Aug 15th
81 Aug 21 Comment Lovely image. I don't know what results you may have had, but I found that in competitions judges do not like this kind of frame. I would prefer to scratch the frame and just do a fine stroke. Then print it and hang it on my wall...it's more than worthy of that. Aug 15th

82 Aug 21 Comment The group has said it all.....Phenomenal Photo!!! Aug 14th
82 Aug 21 Comment I saw this and thought you stole it from me! I have an almost identical image I took years ago that holds wonderful memories of the day I was out with my first photography teacher who has since passed away, at Jones Beach on Long Island, NY experimenting shooting into the sunset with a bird conveniently flying into the image. Love this. Aug 14th

83 Aug 21 Comment Absolutely well done....perfect capture -- perfect execution! Aug 14th
83 Aug 21 Comment Great image. The only thing I might consider would be to decrease the white border just a bit. Aug 14th

84 Aug 21 Reply Thank you for the invitation, but I would not be an asset to the group as I know nothing about creating videos. The closest I ever came was creating slide shows using Pro Show Gold which I did enjoy. I will visit you periodically just to enjoy the wonderful work. Aug 27th
84 Aug 21 Comment Absolutely Gorgeous. Wish I could have learned to do this during the years that we did extensive traveling. I have a bunch of slide shows but nothing active like this. Wonderful memories and wonderfully done. Aug 14th
84 Aug 21 Comment I am absolutely blown away by these videos. My only suggestion on this one is that you reduce your copywrite to a smaller size and move it closer to a corner so that it is not quite obtrusive to the image itself. Aug 14th
84 Aug 21 Comment This is the first time I've had the time to sit and watch one of these videos and it is absolutely fabulous. Would love to learn how create this from some of my old travel videos. Jul 28th

86 Aug 21 Comment Hi Ruth. I do try to visit as many groups as I have time for every month and wish others would do the same. It's a very enjoyable experience for me and I often learn something working on an unfamiliar image. Aug 18th
86 Aug 21 Comment Great capture. But it took me a few seconds to find the bee. So I took the image into photoshop, adjusted the brightness on the bee to darken it a bit and make it more obvious. Would appreciate your thoughts. Aug 15th
86 Aug 21 Comment Lovely image. Well composed. Perfect lighting. I have a similar image that I took years ago with the artist seated doing her work and her back to the viewer. It has done well for me. Aug 15th

94 Aug 21 Comment Thanks. You should really consider doing it routinely. It makes it so much more of a meaningful experience Aug 12th
94 Aug 21 Comment Wish you had included the original and a bit of history as to what you did to come up with the final result which is spectacular. Aug 12th
94 Aug 21 Comment Beautiful image. Would like to know what you did to create it and see the original for comparison sake. Aug 12th

96 Aug 21 Comment Love it as it is, but if you wanted to crop anything, I'd crop a bit off the left side to force the eye further into the center of the image. Aug 12th
96 Aug 21 Comment WOW! Is this ever beautiful! You did a wonderful job with it but I wish you had included the original for comparison sake. Aug 12th

97 Aug 21 Comment The image is well done. That said, the problem here, aa I see it is that the horizon you've chosen cuts the image exactly in half. You might have stepped back a bit and given yourself more space either on top or bottom to attempt to use the 'rule of thirds". Aug 12th

98 Aug 21 Comment Having lived in NY most of my life, how I miss winters here in Florida. This is the perfect example of what I often wish for, but at this stage of the game doubt if I could physically tolerate the temperature. Wonderful image. Aug 12th

99 Aug 21 Comment Beautifully executed. Aug 12th
99 Aug 21 Comment It's pretty much been said by all...great image. Aug 12th
99 Aug 21 Comment I think the monochrome conversion for this flower is super. I've seen it so often in color that this is not only a very well done conversion, but a very pleasant surprise. Aug 12th
