Group Round C/R Comment Date Image
1 Jul 21 Reply Our club does allow it, and I do have my own file of skies that I've collected that I often use as well. When reviewing many groups, I find it more expedient to present an example of what I'm suggesting by using the presets. Jul 12th
1 Jul 21 Comment Sorry Dennis... this is a well taken image with good colors and contrast but I personally don't see it as more than a great sky to add to my sky files with the purpose of enhancing a more exciting image. I wonder what your group members think. Jul 3rd
1 Jul 21 Comment Nice image but I find the sky a big boring. Easily replaced either in the latest version of Photoshop - Edit - sky replacement - have fun; or in Luminar.

I do wish you told us more about what you did to the image, maybe included the original image, etc. as well as some info on the location itself.
Jul 3rd
1 Jul 21 Comment This is a lovely image. The lighting and shape of the ceiling are outstanding. I remember the morning of 9-11 as if it were yesterday and looking at this kind of gave me a haunting feeling. I just wish you had told us a bit more about the venue, are there any memorials built into the structure, your feelings when you were there, etc. I do like the image and maybe I'm a bit too much of a sentimentalist, but we moved to Florida shortly after 9-11 and I haven't had the opportunity to get back there. I do consider myself lucky in that I knew no one personally that was a touched by the tragedy. Jul 3rd

2 Jul 21 Comment For me this is a great example of street photography. Have you considered joining a street photography group? I joined group 80 and find myself looking for every opportunity to shoot. Just wish that my senility would take a break so that I wouldn't forget the camera every time I get into the car.

Well done image and I love the idea of arming the birds with cameras..

2 Jul 21 Comment Interesting image. The angles do not bother me but I wish it had a bit more punch! Jul 3rd
2 Jul 21 Comment Wow! What a successful transition from the original. Love it. Jul 3rd

5 Jul 21 Reply I'm not sure that the mountains stress the farming flavor, but either way It's a well done image. Will look forward to seeing other comments. Jul 4th
5 Jul 21 Comment Your creativity never ceases to amaze me. How do you ever come up with these wonderful creations? Jul 4th
5 Jul 21 Comment I find the sheep well done but at the same time, I think the mountains are overpowering the subject of the image which is the sheep. So I cropped it to a panoramic with enough mountain for interest but still keeping them less overpowering. What do you think? Jul 4th
5 Jul 21 Comment I, too, prefer the color. The steam has a bit more life in color and the details in the green are much more prominent than in b & W Jul 4th
5 Jul 21 Comment Wow Fabulous image. Jul 4th

6 Jul 21 Reply oops forgot to post it. Here it is. Jul 4th
6 Jul 21 Comment It's a nice image but to my eye it's a but soft. So I opened it in Topaz Studio 2 - Filter - Stylistic - Smudge - Sharpen and sharpened it a bit. What do you think? Jul 4th
6 Jul 21 Comment Beautiful image as it is Sorry, George, I don't agree with your addition, but I think that we need to accept "different strokes for different folks" For me the detail in the flower is its on "story" Jul 4th
6 Jul 21 Comment Absolutely beautiful image. No need for improvement here. Just gorgeous. Jul 4th

7 Jul 21 Reply I've been doing that for years as well. But for purposes of these groups, I don't believe there are restrictions to using Adobe or Luminar skies. Jul 6th
7 Jul 21 Comment The repeating pattern is not unusual as by using this method you're actually copying a piece of the sky. Another option is once you've done that, if you have the most current Photoshop, you can replace the entire sky just click on edit sky replacement and choose one from all they have. Or, once you have added the added space on the top of the image you can select the existing sky and then distort it to cover all of the space using edit transform and try skew or one of the other options. For everyone.... do take advantage of the many tutorials, etc. that PSA has to offer and you can also find a myriad of any instructions for photoshop on U tube. Good luck and let us all know how you make out. Jul 5th
7 Jul 21 Comment Easy fix. You're welcome Jul 4th
7 Jul 21 Comment I think this is a lovely silhouette image. I one were to get very picky, they might say that the birds should be flying toward you; however, I don't feel that way. I don't remember who the photographer was, but I remember an image I saw in my first photography class that was similar to this by a famous photographer, and the birds were all flying away from the camera. It was an award winner. Jul 4th
7 Jul 21 Comment You did a great job on this. However, the only problem is that the peninsula cuts the image literally in half. What I did was increase the canvas size and did a content aware fill on the sky portion to break the 50-50 division. What do you think. Jul 4th
7 Jul 21 Comment I'm ready to devour it...Love Strawberries, Love Cool Whip both on top of a pie or ice cream. Just hate the calories. Great image. Jul 4th

11 Jul 21 Comment Other than that the image could be straightened a bit more (to my eye) I think the monochrome is a great improvement. Jul 4th

12 Jul 21 Comment You created a beautiful image from three ordinary images. Well done. Jul 4th
12 Jul 21 Comment Isn't amazing the results we can create with polar coordinates. This is a lovely image. Kudos to your creative imagination and wonderful result. Jul 4th

16 Jul 21 Comment Well done. I would leave the dirt and rocks. They are part of the story of Motocross for me. Jul 4th
16 Jul 21 Comment I love the creativity. The original is a nice picture. You made it into a lovely image and yes, I do like the sky. Jul 4th

17 Jul 21 Comment As usual I love your work. I just wish there were a way to reduce the opacity a bit on the water so that the girl was less hidden behind the drops. Jul 3rd

18 Jul 21 Comment This is great but I'm anxious to see the result with the blue eyes. I'll be looking forward to that one. Jul 4th

22 Jul 21 Comment I like what you did with the plane but agree with the above suggestions re working on he background. Great effort and nic memory. Jul 4th

42 Jul 21 Comment Just added a bit more contrast by playing with various Topaz filters Jul 4th

43 Jul 21 Comment I'm always looking for great ideas and this certainly fills the bill. It is so very creative and extremely well done, Jul 7th
43 Jul 21 Comment I do like the crop. I, too, have an astigmatism, but my glasses seem to help correcting it.. To do it in PS, select all, go to Edit - Transform- then play with the different options. The only downside is that after trying each one you have to save and then go back in the history to the previous step to eliminate what you don't like. Good Luck Jul 7th

44 Jul 21 Comment Thanks guys. Right now my dentist is getting the money I would spend to convert but I will certainly keep it in mind. I have an old Canon digital that is sitting on a shelf and if these Covid restrictions ever get lifted it will be a real incentive to go ahead and do it. Jul 7th
44 Jul 21 Comment Beyond beautiful. The lighting, the composition; and, even the sky cooperated. Love it. Jul 7th
44 Jul 21 Comment Every time I see one of these wonderful infrared images, I am one step closer to converting an older camera of mine to infrared. Jul 7th

45 Jul 21 Comment Great image and yes, I agree 100% with David's crop. Well done. Jul 7th
45 Jul 21 Comment I thought I agreed with David so I opened it in photoshop and got rid of most of the window frame, leaving just enough for a border, and then adjusted the image to size. Once I increased the size, the flowers were not sharp so I took the image into Photoshop and using Topaz Sharpen AI, increased the sharpness. I'm not sure, however, if it is an improvement. Jul 7th
45 Jul 21 Comment I do like the flower quite a bit, but I personally think you would have a better result if the image were sharp. Strictly personal taste. I will look forward to what the other members of the group think. Jul 7th

46 Jul 21 Comment So beautiful. If you have one, I might suggest adding in an image of someone or a couple walking on that road leading to the end. Just a thought. Jul 7th
46 Jul 21 Comment Reminds me of my childhood waiting for the Good Humor man. Well done. Jul 7th

48 Jul 21 Comment First, let me welcome you to the group.I love this image. We live near Wakodahatchee preserve and I never seem to get this lucky. Well done. Jul 23rd
48 Jul 21 Reply Thanks. I believe I put it into tonight's club competition. Will let you know how it does. Jul 6th
48 Jul 21 Reply Thank you Jul 5th
48 Jul 21 Reply It's corrected. Jul 5th
48 Jul 21 Reply Jul 5th
48 Jul 21 Comment Margaret, I'm having a tough time with this. I just can't seem to put my finger on what is unsettling for me I doo like the waterfalls and your using the rounded framing at the top is a real positive, but overall it's not a WOW for me and I'm not sure why. Jul 4th
48 Jul 21 Comment This is a good image but for me a little bit lost with your post processing. I took it into Photoshop and lightened and brightened the image just a bit, and then increased the brightness in image - adjust - brightness, which I think makes the bird stand out just a bit more. Jul 4th
48 Jul 21 Comment Nice image. Love the colors. I very much like that you chose to shoot it on a somewhat diagonal plane. Well done. Jul 4th
48 Jul 21 Comment I like the image, but found it a bit flat. So I opened Topaz Studio 2 and combed through their "cool contrast" clicked on it and came up with the attached. One click did the trick although there are sliders in every Topaz product to make fine adjustments. Jul 4th
48 Jul 21 Comment Not only did you provide us with a lovely image, but I appreciate all the information that you included. As administrators, we are constantly reminded to encourage our group members to provide history, etc. and most often it falls on deaf ears So, thank you so much for all of the info it is appreciated by all who view these images. Jul 4th

65 Jul 21 Comment And my first impression was, I'd never dream of shooting ice cubes. Very well done and obviously a study as to how a picture doesn't always tell the truth. Jul 31st

66 Jul 21 Comment This image is stark, clean, sharp and very well done. My problem is that I can't make up my mind which I like better, this or the original. Love the colors in that one as well. Jul 31st
66 Jul 21 Comment Melanie, I find this is a very interesting image. After reading all the comments, and viewing the suggested changes, Gary's version really does it for me. Another incentive to have the camera in the closet converted. Jul 31st

72 Jul 21 Comment Great image. As to the duplication, I've done it myself but was fortunate enough to have my administrator catch it and ask me to replace before posting. I guess it's a sign that you really like the image. I do. Jul 30th

73 Jul 21 Comment Very interesting take on a minimalistic image. How great it would have been if someone was working the plantation when you took this image. (Now I sound like some of the judges in club competitions who say they wish the person was wearing a red shirt .) Jul 30th

74 Jul 21 Comment Nice image Bill. Well done. Jul 30th
74 Jul 21 Comment I think that this is a great image that leaves wondering what he is all about. However, I found the background a bit distracting so I brought it into photoshop and did the following: Selected the image and then brightened him up just a bit. While still selected, I chose inverse, and went to the filter choice and tried a few different blur tools to decrease the strength of the background.

I wonder what you think of the result.

78 Jul 21 Comment I personally prefer the less elongated versions as it takes your eye of what I believe is the center of attraction which are the two dome-shaped buildings on the left side. Take a look at these images when you can online looking for images of the Greek Islands and see what the pros do, then go ahead and compare and see what you think. Jul 29th
78 Jul 21 Comment Loved the image but not the dark sky. So I did a sky replacement in photoshop and wonder how you like that. Jul 29th

79 Jul 21 Comment What a lot of work but well worth it. Fabulous result. Too bad that when I got to about your third sentence I figured out that I'd never figure out how to create something quite as lovely as this. Jul 29th

80 Jul 21 Comment For me it definitely works as Street Photography. What doesn't work as a photographic image is that thing on the lower right that appears to be a trash can. So I removed the trash can with a bit of cloning, etc. and then copied the shoe and played with it a bit to fit it on her other foot. Jul 12th
80 Jul 21 Comment This is a lovely image and I agree with Victor regarding the water. A bit of a pop would really be a major enhancement. Jul 12th
80 Jul 21 Comment Great image. The only change I made was to reduce the brightness of that white wall, as that was the first thing that hit my eye. Jul 12th
80 Jul 21 Comment I like this image, but what I don't care for is the person on the right as I find he is a distraction; so I cloned him out. Jul 12th

81 Jul 21 Comment Well done. I prefer the brighter faces, but otherwise a great action image. Jul 29th

82 Jul 21 Comment Agreed. However, from experience, if you submit it to competitions the probability is that points would be removed for it Jul 29th
82 Jul 21 Comment Perfect street photography Jul 29th
82 Jul 21 Comment I love the image. I hate to be a nit picker, but to my eye (and it's not only on this image but I used to drive my first photography teacher crazy for as little as 1/16 of an inch when cutting masks, etc.) the building had a miniscule tint to the right. So I took it into photoshop, straightened it out, and while I was at it, took out the red light and pole.

What do you think?
Jul 29th
82 Jul 21 Comment Interesting image. Quite a dichotomy of what people wear The image is very well done and as a Dorothy myself, I love red shoes. (Wish I were a wizard rather than a shoe lover John) Jul 29th

83 Jul 21 Comment Hi. This is a great image. I did notice the halos as well and decided to try my favorite fix. I enlarged the image so that the areas I wanted to work on filled the entire screen. I then took the clone tool and using a brush of maybe 2 or three pixels cloned the areas on the right side of the two right side images as a test and I thought it got a pretty decent result by just running the brushes slowly down the right side of the chimney.
What do you think?

86 Jul 21 Comment If I were more selective probably could have saved the road, but my intent was really to work on the things that others commented on. Jul 31st
86 Jul 21 Comment I did not find the phone pole, etc. large enough to be a distraction or warrant cropping the image; but, for the fun of it, I just selected the section and then did a content aware fill and did the same thing individually with the two power lines to the right. Does it make a significant difference? Jul 31st

87 Jul 21 Comment This image is very interesting in the history itself, as well as being a nice image on its own. I created a non-destructive layer mask and made some toning and highlight adjustments as well as removing the chair. I wonder what you think of the result. Jul 29th
87 Jul 21 Comment I love this image. I'm always looking for this kind of image as it does so well in club competitions as well. I did a bit of editing by removing the chain link fence. Hope you like it. Jul 29th

91 Jul 21 Comment Hate to be a naysayer but I hate to say that the red and green, although fairly bright, offers no wow result. I think Judy's improvement is better but it has a way to go. Jul 28th
91 Jul 21 Comment Studied this for a while thinking about how to comment and decided that Gary's suggestions are right on. Just wish he had played with it himself and posted the image with his suggestions. Jul 28th

92 Jul 21 Comment How luck are those of us who took of the advantage of visiting Cuba while we could. This is so typical of the images of the thousand opportunities we had. This one is very well done and tells a story of Cuban transportation for daily chores. Love it. Jul 27th

94 Jul 21 Comment The bird is excellently done. As I am not familiar with the limitations of exhibiting in a nature group, I will comment accordingly that If I were shooting this image the only change I would have just attempted to darken the bottom a bit to provide a bit more contrast to make the bird stand out a bit more. 99 Jul 21 Comment Overall a good image, but I did find thee branch on the left disturbing the image. The adjustment by Linda is a great improvement. Jul 27th
99 Jul 21 Comment I finally remembered to put a small camera in the car. After seeing this image, I'm so thrilled that I remembered. Beautiful image -excellent work. Jul 27th
