1 May 21 Reply You are most welcome May 3rd
1 May 21 Comment I really like oranges and I do like this image but wish the oranges themselves were a bit sharper. So I opened them in Photoshop. Opened Topaz Studio 2. Then opened Smudge and increased the sharpness a bit and am submitting my result for your consideration. May 2nd

2 May 21 Comment You never seem to provide an image that is anything less than super. This one is also very well done.
The only thing I would have done is gotten rid of the lights on the stage and with a single stroke created the illusion of a stage.

2 May 21 Comment You have a a pretty image but although it is very pretty, nothing says "look at ME". I opened it in photoshop and did the following:
1. Duplicated the image.
2. Created a non destructive layer mask.
3. Darkened the foliage and the walls and brightened and enhanced both the door and the mailbox.
4. Took it into Topaz Studio 2. Located the Smudge filter and sharpened the mailbox.
5. Returned to the original image and selected the mailbox and darkened it a bit.
6. Selected the red portion of the door and brightened it up a bit.
7. Selected the metal framework around the door and brightened that up a bit as well.
I think that the result provided a few things to stand out a bit more than they did.
Hope you like the result.

5 May 21 Comment I can only be so jealous of the imagination that create the idea for this perfectly executed idea. May 2nd
5 May 21 Comment The image tells a lovely story. I think that David's effort made a 100% or more improvement in the image and I do tend to agree with Barbara re acceptance in an exhibition. May 2nd
5 May 21 Comment Barbara although I haven't eaten an egg in more than 80 years, I do love this image. I David's suggestion of changing the stripes to red...stands out more and as I finishing tough you might see if changing the blue stripe on the knife would be a plus or minus in the final image. 8 May 21 Comment Beautiful image. I agree with the other comments and played with it a bit to get the suggested result. May 16th
8 May 21 Comment Fabulous image. Getting the white show to photograph as white as you did is an accomplishment in itself. May 16th
8 May 21 Comment Your title is so very appropriate and I appreciate your description of the man. Excellent image very well executed. India is one of the places I always wanted to visit but doubt I'll ever get there. The image is a winner for me. May 16th
8 May 21 Comment Excellent image Mark. But then again, typical of the wonderful work you always do. May 16th

9 May 21 Comment John this is a lovely image. However, I felt it is lacking something so I went into photoshop and changed the sky then image adjustment and brightened it up a bit. Hope you like it. May 16th
9 May 21 Comment Great image. Love the texture background you chose. Very well done May 16th
9 May 21 Comment The textures on this are wonderful. At first look I thought it was made of wood. I'd love to see more of these sculptures.
May 16th
9 May 21 Comment Try a non destructive layer mask. They often work wonders May 8th
9 May 21 Comment Lovely image. I would suggest just toning down the bright leaves in the lower left corner and maybe toning up that baby bird. May 7th
9 May 21 Comment This is lovely. Whatever texture you chose, it's right on. I, too, recently began using textures, but mainly with flowers and am thoroughly enjoying the results. Well done. May 7th

10 May 21 Comment Lovely image. I've seen a number of flower images shot from the back and this is definitely one of he better ones. May 16th
10 May 21 Comment Very interesting. I had a fisheye years ago and enjoyed using it but I updated my camera and never got around to adding a fisheye. I recently began playing with orbs and love it. This one is really very well done. Love the colors, the framing, overall a winner for me. May 7th

13 May 21 Reply I did look and like yours better May 8th
13 May 21 Comment Nice. Love your choice of texture. Color goes so well with this kind of "ordinary" dark colored butterfly, May 7th
13 May 21 Comment Beautiful image. Very interesting for me as I often visit Butterfly World here in South Florida which is purported to be the largest Butterfly exhibition in the United States, but never saw a butterfly like this one.

Well done.
May 7th
13 May 21 Comment Gorgeous is an understatement. How lovely to get those insects in sharp focus. The background you chose is perfect. Extremely well done. May 7th
13 May 21 Comment I love the flower but am not thrilled with the background. I think you might do better if you tried using a texture to hide all the branches, extra flowers, etc. that, for me take away from the beauty of the flower. May 7th

14 May 21 Comment Nice image. I agree with the suggestion to remove the gantry at the top of her laptop. I don't see the green cast, but then again my 83 year old eyes sometimes miss subtle things. Overall very well done. May 16th
14 May 21 Comment Lovely image. I like the boy in the center exactly where he is. His eyes are almost haunting but popping with interest, happiness, emotion, etc. I just cloned a slightly darker section over that bright spot at the top right. Well done. May 16th
14 May 21 Comment Living on the East Coast, it's been years since we've been to San Francisco's Chinatown, but I would go back in a heartbeat given the opportunity. Beautiful image. You did a great job of kind of isolating those red lanterns and blurring out the rest. May 16th

15 May 21 Comment I love flowers and take every opportunity to shoot them, In this case, I prefer the brightness of the original. In addition, I think the center is where the story is; so, as Kirsti did, I'm offering another alternative. May 16th
15 May 21 Comment It's a wonderful feeling when everything we attempt to do falls in just right. This is one of those times. Very well done. May 16th

16 May 21 Comment Getting those tendrils so sharp and clear are a real bonus on this image. May 16th
16 May 21 Comment Excellent improvement from the original and I think adding Terry's crop is the perfect finish. May 16th
16 May 21 Comment Great job with a dying flower. You brought it back to life. May 16th
16 May 21 Comment You've come around the world so to speak from your original image. I wouldn't touch this final for anything. It's got the kids highlighted, the texture in the stone walls, the depth of field in the steps. The only thing that a judge might nit pick on is that the greens might be a tad too bright which you can easily correct and choose which you like better. Extremely well done. May 7th

17 May 21 Comment Beautiful image. The result tells me you were in exactly the right place at the right time. May 7th
17 May 21 Comment Interesting image. Looks like a very old building and leaves me with the feeling that it may not last too much longer. Well done May 7th

19 May 21 Comment Reminds me of the wonderful images that those of us got when we attended the Albuquerque PSA conference a few years ago. Wish I lived closer and could do it again.

Beautiful image.
May 16th
19 May 21 Comment Wish I knew the story behind this couple. Their smiles make wonder what they're thinking or talking about. Title is very appropriate. Well done. May 16th
19 May 21 Comment Very pretty. Would love to have seen the original May 7th

20 May 21 Comment Interesting result, but I would have liked to see the whole car. That's probably a great image in itself. May 16th
20 May 21 Comment This is something any woman would be delighted to receive from the man she loves. Very well done. May 7th

22 May 21 Comment Beautiful image but I do agree with the straightening issue and prefer Joseph's rendition. Otherwise inviting, colorful and for me a winner. May 16th
22 May 21 Comment My favorite color, beautiful background. Very well done. May 16th
22 May 21 Comment You did a heck of a lot better than salvaging this image. It is really beautiful and brightening up the people is a very much added plus. May 16th

23 May 21 Comment Leaves me thinking...the morning after. Very well done. May 16th
23 May 21 Comment Leaves me wondering what the subjects look like. Nicely done. May 16th

25 May 21 Comment The colors and textures make this image. However, I find the door on the left a bit extraneous. I played around and decided to crop it out and make the main doorway and tree the image. I wonder what you think. May 16th

29 May 21 Comment This is a lovely image and to be honest, I didn't see the remnants of the table till I read the comments.
The only thing I might have considered here would be to crop off just a bit on the bottom up to the edge of the grass line. Otherwise a great image.
I will take a second to respond to a couple of "notes" in other comments here as well.
Bob: Re content aware - I often find that I can work it in parts rather than a whole item and then if necessary clone the small parts that are left.

Tim: I just purchased a 27" Acer monitor from Amazon. I had an older one and replaced it with this one which is fabulous.
Wish I had room on my desktop for an even larger one.

30 May 21 Comment Excellent photo Leonid. I would tend to agree with the suggestion to eliminate just a bit of the brightness of the cement floor on the lower right. If you're not familiar with using a non destructive layer mass, feel free to email me and I'll give you the very simple instructions...bevandstu@gmail.com. That process comes in extremely handy for more than you can ever imagine. May 22nd

42 May 21 Comment Overall, I like this image. However I will make a couple of suggestions. What I did was first clone out the greenery in the lower right corner. It took my eye away from the flower. I then selected the flower and in adjustments, brightened it a bit. Following that I opened Topaz Studio 2 - opened the Smudge filter and sharpened it a bit and increased the strength & sharpness a bit. Hope you like it. May 2nd

48 May 21 Reply love it. My camera club mentor group thought I should widen the borders, but I played with it and wasn't too happy with the result. May 16th
48 May 21 Reply It is in Photoshop 2021 and I think in 2020 - Go to Edit and look down and there it is. May 16th
48 May 21 Reply Just went to find it to send and can't so I'll email the gal I got the original notes from and ask for another copy. If I don't get it in a day or so, I'll recreate and send it to you. I really want hers as she has some very interesting stuff in there re compositing as well. May 5th
48 May 21 Reply I will forward the instructions I got to anyone who wants them later tonight. Just email me at bevandstu@gmail.com so I can send them out all at once. May 5th
48 May 21 Reply I finally gave in and have the latest version of Photoshop...turns out with this being in so much it's ever so valuable at $9.99 a month. May 5th
48 May 21 Reply I can email the whole set to you if you like there are a few other things in there May 5th
48 May 21 Comment Good Luck May 5th
48 May 21 Reply Thank you. Visit Group 18, there's a very interesting image there as well and feel free to comment. We are encouraged to visit as many groups and learn and offer advice. May 5th
48 May 21 Comment His face tells the story. I adjusted his face just a tad to make it a bit lighter. Other than that, a great story that leaves one wondering about his expression and the cause for it. Well done. May 5th
48 May 21 Comment Love the trees but found the sky a bit bland so I went into Photoshop, clicked on Edit - Sky Replacement and chose something with a bit more color May 5th
48 May 21 Comment This is fabulous. I can see nothing to improve. Everything is better than just right. Congratulations on what for me is an all out winner May 5th
48 May 21 Reply I, too, loved the original flower but was experimenting after seeing the webinar to see what I could create with lots of color. May 3rd
48 May 21 Comment Gorgeous. So peaceful. Although you did not include your original, whatever you changed worked wonderfully to create a great result. May 3rd
48 May 21 Comment What a beautiful, peaceful scene. I wouldn't do anything to change this. It is lovely. May 3rd
48 May 21 Reply No, I wasn't I do remember that one though because I asked the maker at the time what the process was. I actually saw a webinar produced by Lynn Mass, a member of the Art of Photography meet-up group that I joined. Check it out, they meet every Saturday and Sunday morning and have some interesting stuff going online - It's free - Google meet-up the art of photography and you should be able to find it easily. 80 May 21 Comment Steve, did you receive a telephone message from me. Please call me if you would. 561-752-3992 May 28th
80 May 21 Reply True. but for us was to be able to speak with them through our tour interpreter, it was a very special moment. May 15th
80 May 21 Comment My thought was that since we were on the side of the road waiting for help in replacing the tire, and they came running up from the fields it might be considered street photography since that is such a broad category. May 11th
80 May 21 Comment They actually came running from the field where they were working to greet us and be photographed. May 6th
80 May 21 Comment I could probably have shot more of the rice fields but they were so cute running up to be photographed that I took this instead. May 4th
80 May 21 Comment I understand your point, but for me, I would prefer to focus on thee main subjects. May 3rd
80 May 21 Comment The young lady and the dog - mostly the dog - are the image here. I find the background branches and that big round thing unnecessary to the image. So in my review I cropped the image. May 3rd
80 May 21 Comment The only thing I would have done to this image is remove the wires at the top sides of the building. An easy fix with content aware fill. Image itself leaves one wondering how big is a giant horse.. May 3rd
80 May 21 Comment Love it. The concentration on what they are doing tells the story of two people together/alone doing their own thing. Well executed. May 3rd
80 May 21 Comment First let me welcome you to the group.
The image tells a story. The only distraction is that red ball on the left side. I couldn't figure out a better way to get rid of it so I just selected it and painted it black. I wonder what you think.
May 3rd
80 May 21 Comment Nice image that leaves me wondering if they're together, or just sharing a bench. The only thing I might have considered would be to crop a bit off the left, as I keep heading that way to see the person behind the tree. May 3rd
80 May 21 Comment Great image. I can't decide whether she's bored or annoyed and I'm pretty sure he's in his own world. The image is tack sharp and well positioned. And in the end holds my interest as I try to figure out what's going on. Well done. May 3rd

88 May 21 Comment I am such a sucker for a beautiful sky - real or created - and this one creates a wonderful image. May 28th

89 May 21 Comment I love this image. I don't think the palm tree should be an issue as for me it is inconsequential to the image. I do think; however, that, the image should be more of a panorama and some of the bottom quarter is a bit extraneous. So cropped it off and wonder what you think. May 28th

90 May 21 Comment Beautiful image. One of these days I'll have to start learning about how to do focus stacking. May 28th
90 May 21 Comment The image is lovely but for me, just lacked a little oomph. So I took it into photoshop, opened Topaz Studio 2 and then used the Smudge filter and made a couple of adjustments. May 28th

91 May 21 Reply You are most welcome. I always appreciate another eye with my work as well May 28th
91 May 21 Comment Love the contrast and how the plants stand out. One of these days I'm going to convert my extra camera to IR. The results are always so great. May 28th
91 May 21 Comment I cropped it a bit from the bottom and then did a slight distort to make the tree a bit taller and the horizon a bit more off dead center. Love the coloring and find the flipped image lovely as well. May 28th

92 May 21 Comment The monochrome is lovely but my personal preference is to agree with Albert. More vibrant result for me. May 28th
92 May 21 Comment Well done. Why is when I see a street scene like this my camera is in my car, at home, or anywhere where I am not? May 28th
92 May 21 Comment Nice composition. I really like how the colors of the sky complement the colors of the kilns. Was that natural or did you create this wonderful effect? May 28th

3 comments - 0 replies for Group 92

96 May 21 Comment Nice image; however, I prefer Bob's suggestion as I feel your image is a bit too dark. May 28th
96 May 21 Comment Steven's monochrome is a excellent alternative. As to the cropping suggestions, for me Bob Will's suggestion is the hands down winner May 28th

2 comments - 0 replies for Group 96

97 May 21 Comment The shades and textures you brought out in the image are wonderful, but I do agree with the others. I would have done a much greater crop to make the squirrel the image with just a smaller amount of surrounding territory. May 28th

1 comment - 0 replies for Group 97

98 May 21 Comment Probably because my eyes find it easier to focus with the zoom. I guess for me it's whatever works is o.k. May 28th
98 May 21 Comment Love the painted effect. Read your comment re using a macro. I find that when I use a macro I never get the image sharp enough and always have much better results with my Tamron 16-300. May 28th
98 May 21 Comment Successful result to a beautiful image. Well done. May 28th
98 May 21 Comment Great image. Love those bright yellow headlights. The two suggestions Bob made are an added plus to a wonderful image May 28th
