Wish I had seen this location when we were in Singapore many years ago. Love the contrast between the implied formality of the images and the ladies in their shorts. The image is tack sharp and the guardians of the entrance hold my attention because of their expressions, color, and beauty. Very well done.

This is a beautiful image. In this particular image, however, I feel that the sky is a bit strong. I recently gave in and subscribed to Creative Cloud and find that some of the photoshop skies are even better than those in Luminar. You might just try reducing the opacity on this one and see what you think. I would be happy to do it, but I'm in the midst of getting a new desktop set up and praying that between my grandson, who is my tech, and Adobe support on Monday, I'll be fully back up by then.
Overall a well done image.

Great image. I took a slightly different route. I selected the truck, then adjusted the image using vibrance and saturation, which I think makes the truck stand out more. I tried reversing the direction of the truck, personal preference was to leave it as placed.

I, too, just began playing with textures. One of the best photographers I know when it comes to this kind of work is Marie Altenburg. She has an article in the January PSA journal that is very worth reading. I believe she will also give courses. She did a webinar for our camera club and has me addicted.
This flower is lovely, but I agree with the comments re the texture, it's a bit strong for my taste.
Good Luck ...this is a very fun adventure but can be quite frustrating at times.

This image brings back bittersweet memories of a wonderful experience. The image is lovely and I agree that the balloons at the edges can be eliminated. I, too, see some difference in the sky that you might want to correct.
To explain bittersweet...I always wanted to visit this festival which was the wonderful part combined with the fact that we were able to visit a very old and dear friend who moved to be with her daughter who lives in Santa Fe; and, we hired a private guide who had just joined PSA and became a friend. The bitter...about a year ago, I learned that this wonderful guide, photographer, and friend had been killed by a hit and run driver in Northern New Mexico while on tour.

You really brought this guy out of the shadows. His expression leaves me wondering whether he's just relaxing or getting ready to pounce out of that tree to grab some prey.
Very well done.

5 Jan 21 Comment I know I can always count on you to come up with a beautiful image and this is a perfect example. And she's even wearing a scarf in one of my favorite colors. Jan 2nd

I have become a big fan of flowers in the last couple of years. I love the colors of this image but I personally am not a big fan of abstracts. I think I'd prefer to see this quite a bit sharper with a texture but that is a very personal preference. Well done as is.

The flower is beautiful. The texture is very well done. I do agree, however, that some of the space on the right could be elminated.

What a beautiful image of a site I always wanted to visit and probably will never get there. Our golden years have turned a bit rusty and traveling has become quite a big more difficult. At any rate...I love this image and the improvements you made make it even more beautiful.

16 Jan 21 Comment Terry this is a great capture. My personal preference would be to brighten it up just a tad. I think the green is fine, but I guess that's just personal taste. I just shot some baseball at the local high school here in Boynton Beach and to put it mildly, "it ain't easy". (See Group 80) Overall I think this is a very well done image and the ball in mid-air is the real bonus. Jan 2nd

17 Jan 21 Comment Nice image Joe. I wish we had something like that down here that didn't attract those who don't want to be bothered wearing masks, etc. I'm beginning to get stir crazy. Jan 2nd

You captured his feeling very well. He looks so sad almost begging to be let out. This is a very moving image for me as I have always been intrigued by the similarities between our world and the monkeys, apes, etc. Very well done image telling what I take as a sad story.

This is a super image. I often play with the Photoshop filters but haven't gotten quite this lovely a result yet. Love it!

32 Jan 21 Comment Nice image Stephen. Considering what you had to deal with you got some pretty good results. If you have Topaz Sharpen AI try running it through that... it gives some pretty amazing results.
Happy New Year.

48 Jan 21 Comment What can I say? I just started working on textures with my flowers, I open the image and find you stole my masterpiece. Beautifully done. Here's mine Jan 16th
48 Jan 21 Comment So pretty. I live very close to Morikami and used to go there quite often. It has really grown since I visited with my mother some 35 years ago. This is a very nice shot and very well done. Love the sky reflection. Jan 16th
48 Jan 21 Comment Tack sharp and scary as heck! Well Done! Jan 16th
48 Jan 21 Comment I love this image and Mary did a great job of straightening it. Wish I were there, boots and all. Jan 16th

48 Jan 21 Comment I've made a couple of changes, but couldn't change the sky because I couldn't get the sky filter to kick in. Guess I'll call Adobe on Monday for help. Will appreciate your thought. Jan 16th
48 Jan 21 Reply I was ambiguous about them but they're coming out before putting it into a club competition. Jan 16th
48 Jan 21 Reply As to showing me your thoughts... that's what this group is all about. Offering solution or options. Thank you so much for that. I wish more of our members would take the time to do that when they do their reviews. Jan 16th
48 Jan 21 Reply I did try straightening and that's not one of my fortes so I left it as my result was much worse than the beginning. As to the couple, I didn't pay too much attention to them because I felt they were pretty extraneous to the image. Thanks for your input; it is always very much appreciated. Jan 16th

48 Jan 21 Comment I find the blanked somewhat distracting and would like to see more of the balloonist so I'm attaching my suggestion Jan 16th

80 Jan 21 Comment Sorry, Victor but I have to agree with the majority. To me they are two women who appear as if they happen to be in the same place at the same time, nothing much more. I found this crop provided me with an interesting expression as she slurped her drink. Jan 16th
80 Jan 21 Comment Thanks to all of you for your thoughtful comments. With that...Have a Happy and Healthy New Year with a lot more opportunities to get out and shoot than we've had in the last nine months. Jan 16th
80 Jan 21 Comment I was going to add my suggestion to improve the image, but Photoshop decided to update now. Why not when I'm not trying to use it, I'll never know.
At any rate..lovely image. Reminds me of some of my European travels showed me the symmetry of construction in some of the small towns. The only thing I would do to this is add a touch of pop. Photoshop came back just as I was about to end this so I added my suggested change.
Jan 16th
80 Jan 21 Comment I think that this image is overall well done with the caveat of the sky. There are multiple options available today ranging from Luminar 4 to the sky offerings in the latest Photoshop updates.
As to Ice Cream shops, I just decided to give it up for a while to lose weight before my granddaughter's wedding. I am definitely suffering addict withdrawal

80 Jan 21 Comment I like this image both in mono and color. That being said, I usually tend to prefer color. Love her expression. Victor made some good suggestions which are easily done using a non destructive layer mask. If you're not familiar with that technique, just "holler" and I'll be happy to write out the simple instructions. Jan 16th
80 Jan 21 Comment I love how you caught the young child and her mother. That for me is the image. The man walking by for me is just an intruder in the crowd. If he weren't there I wouldn't miss him. You could probably crop the image to include just the mother and child and their expressions would make the image. Jan 16th
80 Jan 21 Comment Congrats on your showcase image! Well Done Jan 16th

This is a beautiful flower. Tom's adjustments just made it more beautiful. If you enjoy playing with flowers, try to see if you can arrange to see Marie Altenburg's webinar on working with textures on your flowers. Her work is beyond beautiful and after seeing the webinar I am hooked forever.

Love this image. Reminds me of our trip to Kenya in 1989. I find just a little too little contrast, so I opened it in Photoshop and did a content-aware-fill and toned down the grass a bit which brightened the image, which I felt put a touch more emphasis on the animals.
Suggestion re pixelation if you have it...try Topaz Gigapixel. It works wonders enlarging images and eliminating that problem.

This is a beautiful flower. If you want to "play" with flowers, I would highly recommend seeing Marie Altenburg's webinar on flowers and using textures on flowers and other things as well. Her work, as I am sure you are aware is beyond beautiful and after seeing her webinar in at one club I belong to, I'm anxiously awaiting reseeing it next week in the second club of which I am a member. I can tell you I think my work has improved 100 percent since I've seen it.

The only thing I found a bit distracting was the lights on wall. Other than that this is a lovely image. So I went into photoshop, selected each one individually and did a content aware fill.

What do you think?
