You've gotten so many very valuable comments, I'm note even going to go there. I'll limit mine to....this is a very well done image and personally I like it just the way it is. |

I think you did a great job of getting you subject aligned in the image; however, I'm personally not a fan of high key images to I'll reserve comment rather than injecting my personal taste, other than to say that appears to be a very well done image.

I very much like the concept of the image, but I wish the leaves themselves were more distinct. Unless it's my eyes, the leaves are kind of bundled together and until I read your description, I knew it was a tree, but wound up pondering what was going on. I do love the orange captured body of the tree

Just beautiful. Reminds me of an image I shot in Obidos, Portugal. When I came home, on a lark I sent it to Petersen's Photographic (I don't think it's in existence any more) where photographers would send images and get $ 25 if published. My first and only image in a national magazine...and I felt like a millionaire with my $ 25.
Back to this image. The arch framing the image is a winner.. The colors the stained glass window, the feeling of looking into the church....all make this a winner in my eyes.

The monochrome is well done. My personal taste veers away from the beige monochrome, however. I'd love to see it either in black and white or shades of pink. I'd try to convert it, but I'm having trouble with this computer and waiting for delivery of a new one by tonight so I'll do better when the new one is up and running and has the room to work on the latest edition of photoshop. I love this image as it brings me back to some of my wonderful trips to London. Have you seen the new Luminar AI? It really appears to be far and above the original Luminar 4 and much simpler to work with. Comparing Luminar 4 to the options in the latest edition of Photoshop, I prefer Photoshop...easier to work with and I think more options. This sky doesn't bother me, but me, being me, I'd try a few other options to see if there's something I'd like better. Your call. --- Happy Holidays |

I liked the idea of the original image, but felt that for me it was not an eye grabber. I cropped off a bit of the bottom, then went to image adjustments-vibrance-contrast. I increased the vibrance and contras and I think it added some life to the image. |

I love this image. For me the color image is the winner here. My first reaction was "what did he do to get put in here". Then as my eyes adjusted, and I read your title I realized what was going on and thought "how ingenious". I think there are innumerable stories one could imagine with this image and technically it's right on target. Good luck with the judges. |

I, too, agree that a bit more separation is needed between the tree and the background. My initial reaction was not that of a homeless couple, but of a young couple walking along the beach and coming across this tree and stopped to admire it and express their affection for each other. With a touch of improved separation, this for me is a winner. |

A very interesting image that would probably be a bit too difficult to get with a regular camera as it might prove to be a bit intrusive to the subject. I agree that Jim's crop is a bit tight, but possibly a crop just to the edge of the pole might work better. I do like the right side of Victor's crop eliminating the pedestrian. |

When I first saw this image, I found it a bit intriguing. Loved the setup and thought it was so thoughtful of her to be serving because somehow, in my generation, I would have thought he'd be serving her. (Shows you how old I am). After reading all the comments, you are probably right...just a setup. But either way a lovely photograph. Well done. |

I much prefer the black and white in this image. I find the color, to my taste, is a bit to "up" in feeling, where as the black and white for me exhibits a bit of the boredom of the overall situation. I wish that those who made comments re different crops would have attached their results for the rest of us to see and reflect upon. Based on what I read on everyone's comments I think any of the suggestions are quite valid and would offer a good perspective on the overall. |

First, let me apologize for being so late. I thought I had done this month's images and just today when catching up on my month end things to do, realized that I overlooked this group. SO SORRY.
The face on your subject is very intriguing and very well done. For my taste, I found the "intruder" a bit to intrusive. I tried eliminating her altogether by blacking in that entire part of the image but didn't like the result. So I then took the grey from her image, outlined her and with a reduced opacity painted over her entirely. I kind of like it a little better, as it still tells the story but seems to me to be a little less intrusive. What do you think.
