This is a very interesting image. Love the colors on the doors but am not happy with the blue wall on the left. You might try toning it down, or putting a texture over it to take away from the extreme brightness attracting the eye away from the doors. |

I've done very well in club competitions with images like this of doors. This one is a beauty. I do agree with cropping off the right side. That will also add somewhat of an illusion of height to the door. Extremely well done. |

Love this image. The composition and contrast of the silhouette against the orange sky are outstanding.
And, Martin, Ospreys are birds native to Florida and an Osprey shoot is when a group of photographers rent boats and go out over the waters they inhabit to photograph the birds. Did it a couple of years ago an if you're up to very early morning shoots, it can be a really fun day. |

Very well done. I'm just starting to concentrate on texture backgrounds and having a lot of fun doing so. On this one I do see traces of the flower color in your background but think I'd like to see those enhanced just a bit more. Otherwise a 10 in my estimation. |

Thanks so much. I'd love to give it a try but I'm not optimistic. The older I get the more I think of an old story I often tell. My mother in law had a very green thumb and I often say that she could grow a tree from a toothpick and I could make a toothpick from a tree in 2 days. However if you still have faith, I'm at 9869 C Summerbrook Terrace, Boynon Beach FL 33437.. and once again Thanks. |

Is this what I used to grow that we called the dollar plants that wound up with white circular discs after flowering? This image is a winner and if I didn't have a black thumb I'd consider trying it again.
Very well done. |

Although a bit of tweaking might be a bonus, I do like the image as is and love the star effect on the lights. I would just consider content aware fill the one on the extreme left light since that one keeps calling my eye. |

Visiting from 48 & 80. Overall a excellent very creative image. My take on the "water'" was that we were seeing the results of a horrendous rainfall "joining hands" and heading to the nearest New York sewer. |

What a novel idea. Here's a thought for an addition..put a tiny toy car on the street, silver would be perfect, but white could probably work well.
I said this in an earlier comment in another group, I never cease to be amazed at the imagination in the digital dialogue groups. Well done! |

The image is super. Your story reminds me of what I used to tell my husband before I got into photography. We were planning our 20th anniversary trip to Europe and I admonished him that if he tripped over one more bench trying to get a picture I would leave him there. Motto, no that I am a photographer as well, I can say with a smile that all photographers, including myself, are absolutely nuts! |

I like this image. I have often played with this result in Topaz but never quite found one that I thought would be favorably viewed by a judge. I don't know how it would go in a competition, but I would certainly give it a shot, particularly if you entered it in a creative division. |

The bird is very well done. I like the background colors but find them competing with the bird. I would suggest trying a non destructive layer mask to tone them down a bit which would also make the bird stand out a bit. I agree with Keith's comments re the tail feathers. |

This photograph is phenomenal. Saw your comment to Stu....contact Robert Vanelli, the Education Director of Luminar and he will be most helpful. His email is robertvanelli@gmail.com and don't hesitate to tell him I gave you his address.
Did you use a texture background for this image? If you are using textures, research Matt Koslowski's texture blending online tutorials. They are fascinating and extremely informative. Although producing an image like this one, you could probably do your own tutorials. |

Very nice image. I have done a lot of flowers on black backgrounds over the years but have recently started playing with textures which creates a whole different feel. I will probably submit one next month, What I would suggest is a one or two pixel frame to separate the image from the background. |

Neil, looks like you neglected to attach your suggested improvement but since my own computer is back to snuff, I decided to give it a try and came up with the following. I selected the window, adjusted the brightness, and as a final touch penciled in the lines to suggest framing as the gray looked kind of funny by itself. What's your take on the result. |

You did well with the portrait but I do find the window light a bit distracting. You might try a non-destructive layer mask to tone it down a bit so it is not quite so glaring among the darkness of the rest of the image which works so well. |

I like the composition and love these ancient "constructions". They provide so many photo ops. This is well done, the curved walk and textures are a real plus. I'd like to play with it a bit in Topaz and see if I can pump it up a bit but I'm waiting for my grandson to install a new graphics card in my desktop so it doesn't kick me out every time I go into photoshop. If I can get that set up I'll be back later in the month with an update. Overall well done. |

Thanks Bill. I had mixed emotions when I took this. It was pretty bright day and for some reason, the original was so very dark. When I brightened it up, I was disappointed in the result so I looked to Topaz for ideas and this one just caught my eye. At the very least, I accomplished very active discussion and obviously very varied opinions. |

Victor, thank you so much. At the very least I seem to have evoked some controversy over this image which was not my intention. I felt that this was just so typical of the time when I shot it that it was worth stretching the limits of "street" photography. |

This is a very sweet scene. However, the beautiful work on the building takes away from your subject, and yes, I would definitely remove the leg on the bench. I find myself looking at the beautiful wrought iron work on the upper level and admiring the painting on the lower level with the young lovers almost as the last thing I seek out. Sorry to be a downer but I think that cropping at least the upper level of the building might have been a better option. |

I, too, much prefer the monochrome. I am assuming from your commentary that the artist is the subject. Based on that, I feel that the building is overpowering the subject. Technically the image is very well done, just a couple of takes on the artistic result. I am going to offer two different tweaks for your consideration. |
