Visiting from 48 & 80. I recently had a similar image that I shot in New Mexico in club competition which did quite well. On this one, I'd crop some of the foreground grass to bring a bit more focus on the barn. I think the sky is excellent just as it is and might add a slight touch of additional contrast in the barn. If you have it, try moving it into Topaz and you'll be more than amazed at the variations. |

The use of Topaz has become the second love of my life. Love the forlorn look on that pooch's face |

If you have Topaz, try playing with a few options and see what you come up with. Maybe nothing maybe a gem. |

Sorry Tom, on this one I prefer the original in color. Different strokes for different folks. |

Visiting from 48 & 80 - For me this is a perfect image. The image itself is extremely well done. The monochrome choice is an excellent one and the "cream on the cake" is the sign and positioning of the gentleman. |

Beautiful shot. Love the somewhat muted tones and the sense of solitude. |

Visiting from 48 & 80.
This is a wonderful image. My only wish is that when doing this kind of work, you would have included the original images. What a great learning experience that would be. |

I do like Lance's result with Silver Efex Pro. I wanted to try Topaz to see if but it might come up with something different but the program is doing nothing right today. Will visit later again when Topaz and CS6 behave themselves. |

Hi Steve. I think the image is well-done. I'm ambivalent about the path and tried to pull it into my Photoshop to try it, but for some reason my CS6 won't open for me today. Story of my life, play, play, play and then maybe hit a jackpot and get the d... thing open. Overall, however, I think it's a well done image. I'll revisit later when my computer is behaving if I can come up with any suggestions. |

Hi, visiting from 48 & 80...This is a lovely image and the work you did on it is a fabulous improvement. I don't know that I agree with Julie re crop as to me, the bench almost leads to the gentleman. Well done |

I personally prefer the original image although I'm still not sure exactly what it is. It must be me. |

Nice image. I've done quite a number of images here when they have the Sidewalk Painting in Lake Worth and found them to be very interesting and photographic. |

This is a very interesting image. I'm not quite sure though how much I like the male subject tack sharp and his partner so not sharp, or is it to suggest that she is a dream? I really would like, as well, to learn your post processing detail. |

I'm not a big fan of this image. A bit too dark for my taste and am not really sure what it is. I'm also not sure what "Bob' your Uncle" in your comment refers to. |

The poster edge effect works very well. Not seeing the original, I'm not certain if the red would provide the same variation of color but what you did get is extremely well done. |

I bought my first Topaz combo a few years ago at a PSA convention and have sworn by it ever since. Once you have it, they constantly send you upgrades and for the ones you have the upgrades are free. It is probably the best photography investment I ever made. |

Thanks and yes I did use Topaz. That is probably the most amazing filter I have come across so far. |
