2 Jul 19 Comment Visiting from 48 & 80. Fabulous image. I can hear the music as I look at the image. A winner in my opinion. Jul 7th

4 Jul 19 Comment Visiting from 48 & 80. Having shot some of this kind of competition, I know how difficult it can be to come up with something even near this perfect. Very well done in every respect. Jul 7th

5 Jul 19 Comment Love this image. The character you added to his face is marvelous. I bless the day I downloaded it every time I use Topaz. Jul 2nd

6 Jul 19 Comment Visiting from 48 & 80. Wish I understood and knew how to use stacking. Beautiful result. Jul 2nd
6 Jul 19 Comment Great image. It certainly will stand out in any crowd. Jul 2nd

16 Jul 19 Comment As you shot this, it's really all about the landscape. I've done a quick conversion to a vertical and if you're emphasizing the animal, I think this approach may be a much better one. Jul 7th

17 Jul 19 Comment Although I have no idea what steampunk is, I love the portrait. Very well done. Jul 5th

18 Jul 19 Comment Visiting from 48 & 80. What a wonderful result from an "ordinary" image. Jul 7th
18 Jul 19 Comment Your creativity never ceases to amaze me. Well done! Jul 7th

20 Jul 19 Comment Visiting from 48 & 80 - Both versions are quite outstanding. I think it's a matter of personal preference as both have their virtues. Give me another filter I'll add to my collection. Jul 7th

22 Jul 19 Comment Thanks so much. I've done a lot of playing with layers and I'm sure I'll be able to work it out with the right image. This one just fits the bill perfectly. Jul 8th
22 Jul 19 Comment Visiting from 48 & 80. I love the idea of working with the smart layer in Nik, but not having nik, I'll have to play with CS6 and figure a way to do that kind of thing as I think it's a super result. Jul 7th

I swear by Topaz every time I open an image and this result is one of the reasons why. Super image.

30 Jul 19 Comment Visiting from 48 & 80. I spent a whole morning there with the Coral Springs Camera Club. It was a fun experience and if you check on group 48 last month, you'll see my submission from that trip. This is a great image but I do agree with Robert. I find the background a bit distracting; and, as to a somewhat larger canvas I think Dorinda's right on. Overall a well done image and with a touch of tweak probably a winner. Jul 7th

32 Jul 19 Comment Great catch. I'm a bit jealous. We borrowed a tandem from a friend many years ago and my great accomplishment was getting my husband to pedal while I faked it and rode. Had a lot of fun though. Jul 7th

34 Jul 19 Comment Candy this is a beautiful image of a beautiful girl. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the shadow under her chin. I think if you can remove that you'd be "in like Flynn" in any competition. Jul 7th

42 Jul 19 Comment I like this image better than last month, but agree with James re the flag. In this case I think it is more of a distraction than an asset. Jul 5th

44 Jul 19 Comment Visiting from 48 & 80. I love this kind of image as if looking into another world or maybe a private space. Very well done. Jul 7th

45 Jul 19 Comment Visiting from 48 & 80. Agree with the cropping suggestions and I've done it in my feedback as I find the out of focus rocks distracting. Jul 7th

48 Jul 19 Comment Thanks Mark. Like this one better? Jul 21st
48 Jul 19 Reply Call me any time. If I remember correctly, we downloaded Team Viewer on your computer and I'll be happy to show you exactly what I do on your computer while we chat. I'm a pretty cheap teacher. Jul 11th
48 Jul 19 Comment And here's the vertical flip. I do like the monochrome but don't care for the vertical flip. Jul 8th
48 Jul 19 Comment Jul 8th
48 Jul 19 Comment Here you go in monochrome thanks to Topaz and a few tweaks in Photoshop. Jul 8th

48 Jul 19 Comment The idea is terrific. Great street portrait. I did a bit of tweaking to bring the attention more to his face and away from the bright images through the window. I selected the front window and then whatever was in that selection, I chose to blur and darken and then did the same for the other people behind him. As a finishing touch, I brightened his face up just a bit and added a quick dab of vibrance.

Looking forward to your take on the result.
Jul 7th
48 Jul 19 Comment Absolutely gorgeous. How did you ever get this result from that original? Jul 7th
48 Jul 19 Comment Margaret, Thi is a lovely image; however, I found the sky very boring. So I opened one of the skies from a file I have and pasted the image onto the sky. Then working on the top layer (your image) I erased your sky and mine came through. I then adjusted the brightness and vibrance of my sky and came up with this result. Am anxious for your take on the result. Jul 7th
48 Jul 19 Comment The only thing that bothered me about this image is the fellow on the upper right walking through the flags so I cloned a bunch of the flags to get rid of him. The gentleman on the upper left not so much a problem as he's out of the "line of vision" when looking at the image. Otherwise a wonderful story. Jul 7th
48 Jul 19 Comment Considering that this had to be shot through glass, you got a pretty sharp image. I've never been quite so successful at our local aquarium. I love how you were able to brighten up the overall image. Jul 7th

80 Jul 19 Comment This one I really like. I guess I'm too simple minded. Jul 27th
80 Jul 19 Comment I had absolutely no ulterior motive when I shot this. I was just attracted to the intensity of his foraging and took a grab shot. Yes, there is a heck of a lot of poverty in Cuba but we have the same thing here in the U.S. in every major city. At any rate, thank you for your comments. Jul 27th
80 Jul 19 Reply There are myriads of people who are truly artists that produce things that others don't like or even absolutely hate. The secret to being an artist, I believe, is being true to yourself and promoting what you like. Jul 11th
80 Jul 19 Comment Tirar if I remember correctly is to throw so I am assuming from my basic knowledge of Spanish it says Don't Throw (things in here maybe?) Jul 11th
80 Jul 19 Comment I apologize but find it very difficult to critique something that I personally don't care for and really have no thoughts as to how to improve it. Please understand I never meant to be insulting or just fluff it off but may have simply made the wrong choice of words. Jul 11th
80 Jul 19 Comment As always, different strokes for different folks Jul 10th
80 Jul 19 Comment not usually an early riser but with notice anything is possible. call 561-752-3992 a few days before or email bevandstu@gmail.com Jul 10th
80 Jul 19 Comment Email me ahead of time Alan and both Stu (administrator of 42) and I will be happy to meet up. Love meeting other photographers Jul 9th
80 Jul 19 Comment You may be partially correct Alan, but I don't think that the term derelict is really the story. I believe it's more the story of poverty which is more than obvious in Havana. Jul 8th
80 Jul 19 Comment I've done this at our local zoo several times. Personally, I love to get the kids' expressions as they hit the cold waer whenever possible. Jul 7th
80 Jul 19 Comment Different approach but not a result that I personally love. Jul 7th
80 Jul 19 Comment So dark I could hardly make it out so I brought it into CS6 and just lightened it up a bit. Other than that "down" it's a great image. Jul 7th
80 Jul 19 Comment Nice image. Well done. Jul 7th
