Group Round C/R Comment Date Image
1 Jun 19 Comment From where you came from you did a great job. I just increased the vibrance a bit which showed on my screen originally but I agree it didn't show up here. Jun 16th
1 Jun 19 Comment Visiting from 48 & 80. I like the overall image and the bright night effect but I find that the walkway (?) transversing the image is somewhat distracting. Wonder if that could be eliminated. Jun 14th
1 Jun 19 Comment Visiting from 48 & 80. This is a great image, but I feel that it could use a bit more oomph so I just went into image - adjustments - contrast... and increased the contrast just a stop or two. What do you think? Jun 5th

6 Jun 19 Comment Visiting from 48 & 80. What a great shot. My first reaction before reading your data was that it was some kind of coil, maybe from a vacuum cleaner that you enhanced. Well done. Jun 16th
6 Jun 19 Comment I am a big fan of flower images and I like this one; only problem and it may be my eyes, it's not totally sharp. I pulled it into CS 6 and just added a touch of sharpening. What do you think? Jun 5th

Although I found the image technically correct, I found the colors a bit distracting for a cemetary. So, I brought it into Topaz and converted it to an HDR monochrome image and wonder what you think about the result.

I'm viewing this image a couple of days after we celebrate Flag Day and about 10 days after the anniversary of The invasion of Normandy and being a sentimentalist am very touched. It is a beautiful image and certainly does the subject justice.

9 Jun 19 Comment What a beautiful duck. Agree re background, but on my screen the duck is quite sharp. Maybe my eyes are going faster than I think. Jun 14th

Great image. One of the places I've always wanted to visit and just never got there. I can never seem to get as good a result from a moving vehicle, but always keep trying. Well Done

23 Jun 19 Comment You are welcome, and please do visit mine as well. We always look forward to new eyes and ideas. Jun 7th
23 Jun 19 Comment Visiting from 48 & 80. A nice image but I absolutely agree with your two group mates, crop is a 100% improvement as she is the subject and seems to get a bit lost in the vastness of your background. Jun 5th

32 Jun 19 Comment Steve you mentioned you'd have liked to go to Cuba. I just received an email from one of our tour operators with some options as to how to do it. Call me 561-752-3992 or email bevandstu@gmail.com if you're still interested. Jun 14th
32 Jun 19 Comment Great image. We did a Greek Island cruise many years ago and then several years later a stop in Athens. Enjoyed it, but my trip to Turkey with a very dear friend was so far more interesting and less commercialized.

I started switching to Raw & jpg a few years ago and finally gave up the jpg as I find I just open in photoshop and can switch to jpg in post processing.

33 Jun 19 Comment Visiting from 48 & 80. I never did see this church when I was there, but it is a beautiful architectural example and the textures you caught are wonderful. I would love to go back and visi and shoot some more of the buildings, doorways, etc. which have done extremely well for me in competitions. Jun 5th

48 Jun 19 Comment You are so good with these street shots. I'm jealous. Well Done Jun 16th
48 Jun 19 Comment Overall beautiful image. Wish I could get my night shots this sharp! Jun 16th
48 Jun 19 Comment I would have sworn I commented on all the images earlier. Must be getting senile but at 81 I guess it comes with the territory. Love this image. Stayed there many years ago and enjoyed it but don't remember it quite as beautiful as this shows up. Why not send them a copy and see if you can make a few dollars on it. Jun 16th
48 Jun 19 Comment I guess because I'm late, I'm # 4. Beautiful image. Good composition, Great color and the mountain still sharp. Well Done. Jun 16th
48 Jun 19 Comment The duck is in perfect focus and sharp. I love what you did with the crop and blurring the water. Well done! Jun 16th
48 Jun 19 Comment You asked for it! What do you think of the revision? Jun 7th
48 Jun 19 Comment To be honest, I was so concentrated on the process and I guess trying to eliminate the extraneous light from the windows behind it. I could obviously increase the size of the mat if you guys think it would help but that would not replace the roof of the car. Thoughts? Jun 7th
48 Jun 19 Comment Dummy thought she posted it. I will do so shortly and also give you the original.

Your basic image is a good one and brings back memories of our trip to Kenya some 30 years ago. I appreciate that you indicate that you are not yet yet proficient with erasing, healing, etc...Just keep doing it when you have time on any image for practice. You'll find it can make a huge difference. In this image a solid background would be a huge improvement. I would also recommend using a non-destructive layer mask to brighten the faces of the girls toward the back of the image.

58 Jun 19 Comment visiting from 48 & 80 - Great Image. In this image I don't think the feet are necessary as the image is at the balloon and the balls in the foreground excuse the "missing" feet.
As an aside, Many years ago we attended the New England Camera Club Council and heard a prominent child photographer of the time, (Can't remember his name it was Joseph ???) His lecture was on capturing kids and one of the first things he said was to capture kids use balloons.

80 Jun 19 Comment I did not intentionally blur them however, I agree, the real interest for me was the archway. Thanks for your kind comments. Jun 26th
80 Jun 19 Reply Thanks so much for your kind comments. Problem is I'm running out of Cuba images, so I hope you continue to enjoy other things I come up with. Jun 25th
80 Jun 19 Comment Never noticed the ghostly head but will try to straighten the archway Jun 24th
80 Jun 19 Comment Saw that and agreed wholeheartedly. Jun 17th
80 Jun 19 Comment Thanks for your frequent visits and comments. And as an FYI re travel agent...if you need a competent one and very dedicated one - call me 561-752-3992. Been in the business for over 35 years - owned an agency in NY for almost 20 and love it so much refused to retire. Be glad to work with you any time. Jun 8th
80 Jun 19 Comment You may be right about the sharpness, I just don't always catch it. Thanks. Jun 6th
80 Jun 19 Comment Thanks for your comments. Jun 6th
80 Jun 19 Comment Job well done in grabbing the image and conveying the surrounding weather. Jun 6th
80 Jun 19 Comment Interesting piece of art. I almost didn't see the couple until I moved down to enter my comments. I wish I understand what the art was trying to depict; but at any rate your rendition is excellent. Jun 6th

80 Jun 19 Comment Colin, I find too many distractions here in that there are several subjects each attracting my eye. I've separated them and am submitting them as three separate images. Jun 6th

80 Jun 19 Comment Oops sorry, forgot to add on my change so here it is Jun 6th
80 Jun 19 Comment Interesting image. Not sure if he's busy concentrating or just an angry guy. Well done. Jun 6th
80 Jun 19 Comment Ed you may not like my suggestion either, but I, too felt that the Forum was a bit overwhelming, so I simply increased the size of the lovers a bit to be more of an eye catching attraction without reducing the size of the building. Otherwise I do like the image. Jun 6th
80 Jun 19 Comment Agreed, a very interesting and well done image, but she looks mad as hell. Keep the tile just add a ? Jun 6th
