1 Mar 19 Comment Visiting from 48 & 80. This is a beautiful image. Reminds me of our trip to the Orient and our Yangtze River cruise. Mar 25th

2 Mar 19 Comment Visiting from 48 & 80 - This is a great "street" photography image. The bulk of the street stripes could have probably been removed with content aware fill. As you get closer to the subject, it becomes a tougher job but cloning would probably work well. I think I would have also considered darkening the street a bit and brightening the subject. I do agree that shooting from another angle to get some of his face would have been the perfect plus. Mar 25th
2 Mar 19 Comment Visiting from group 48 - Love this image. Just wish you had included the original. Mar 19th

4 Mar 19 Comment Visiting from 48 & 80. As administrator of 48 I welcome you to Digital Dialog and hope you come to love it as much as I co. My first impression when I looked at this was that I was looking at a roller coaster, which terrifies me as I am afraid of open heights. On second look, I decided that I love this image and certainly respect all the work you put into your first image with this group. It is very well done....And, by the way your English is far better than any of my fluency in other languages I have learned over the years.(French, Spanish, Yiddish, and a few bits of German from the Yiddish) Mar 25th

5 Mar 19 Comment Visiting from group 48. This image screamed Cuba to me the minute I opened it. Extremely well done and a probable winner in any street photography contest or exhibition. Mar 19th
5 Mar 19 Comment You put so much work into your images and it shows. Well done but yes, you probably could have saved a lot of time with the flood filter. Mar 19th

7 Mar 19 Comment Visiting from group 48. I like the framing you used but I find it a bit heavy. If I had access to my photoshop (I'm doing reviews at a slow moment at work) I would try to narrow the frame diamond frame a bit to include more of the main subject. Mar 19th

9 Mar 19 Comment Hi Priscilla, it's been a while since I've looked in on you but finally grabbed a few visit to visit old friends and make some new ones. Love this image as it reminds me of a wonderful weekend we spent at Lake Placid, NY in the dead of winter. Appreciate Shaikh's suggestion as it does make a positive difference in may opinion Mar 25th
9 Mar 19 Comment Why do I know you'll always come up with a winner? Well done Mar 19th

10 Mar 19 Comment Visiting from 48 & 80. The image certainly has its own story to tell. I wonder if you could locate either this fellow or if he's a victim, his family who might really appreciate this image. What a pity. Hope that drunk driver gets what's due her Mar 25th

11 Mar 19 Comment Visiting from group 48. This is a wonderful image and I'm so glad you brought it "out of the closet". Lightening them as Allen did made a wonderful difference. Mar 19th

14 Mar 19 Comment Without even reading the titling or your comment I knew this had to be Copenhagen. Great image love the vertical. Mar 19th

16 Mar 19 Comment Terry, my take, as opposed to Gloria, would be to eliminate the grater and brighten the tomatoes just a bit. I feel that the pasta adds a light element to the image whereas the grater for me adds nothing. Mar 19th

17 Mar 19 Comment As usual a great image. Everything is right - color, lighting, pretty girl, just the right smile, and shot by one of the finest photographers I knoww. Mar 12th

18 Mar 19 Comment Tom this is a very exciting image and I'd love to see what it looks like with some of the other Topaz filters. Mar 19th

22 Mar 19 Comment Hi Jerry. Visiting from groups 48 &80. I keep coming back to this image as I find it a great "street" photo but couldn't figure out what was grabbing my eye. I just realized if you look carefully at the doors you added, the one on the right, more so than the others is not lined up across the top. Simple fix by selecting the individual door and either moving it to match at the top or distorting it just a tad to make it a bit longer. Otherwise, a really great image. Mar 26th

25 Mar 19 Comment Visiting from 48 & 80. Fascinating image. Would you believe, my first impression before reading your description was that the Chia Pets are getting bigger every day. Her hair just reminded me of an instant potted plant. Very nicely done. Mar 25th

26 Mar 19 Comment HI Merv. Just visiting all the groups and wondering if you changed the color of those little "stems" from blue to brown or deep green it would provide more life to the oranges. Mar 25th

28 Mar 19 Comment Hi just visiting from 48 & 80 - I love the image but don't feel that the frame is an enhancement. I would recommend a much narrower frame and take one of the colors from the image and enhance that rather than have a somewhat glaring white frame. I myself have tended to limit my frames to 2 or 3 pixels except in occasional situations. Mar 25th

29 Mar 19 Comment Visiting from 48 & 80. I've been pretty successful with similar images of the doors of Santa Fe. I think this is a great image but I also think that I would have cropped out the bottom row of bricks to give the appearance of the doorway not kind of floating. Sorry I don't have access to my photoshop to show you what I think might work a bit better Mar 19th

30 Mar 19 Comment visiting from 48 & 80. To me this is a study of a young woman isolated in her own thoughts while the world moves around her. I prefer it as you have done without the greenery. Mar 25th

32 Mar 19 Comment You've visited me before, so I thought I'd return the favor. I like the concept but have to agree with the two previous images that a bit brighter might be a bit better in this instance. Also have to agree with Diana re the sky. Overall; however, well done. Mar 19th

35 Mar 19 Comment Visiting from 48 & 80. I love this building it is absolutely gorgeous. What does bother me is the hedge and "sidewalk" which are at an angle which seems to my eye to throw the straight building a bit off kilter. I wonder if that bottom piece of the image only can be skewed to appear straight rather than at an angle. Sorry I'm writing this at work and don't have access to my own computer to give it a shot. Overall, it's a really super image.

38 Mar 19 Comment Hi Art. Sorry I missed that shoot but working at HR Block in tax season doesn't give me much free time. I love this image and really like your improvement adding that additional bit of space on top and bottom. Sorry but although Gabriele's interpretation is interesting, I personally prefer the original. Mar 26th

42 Mar 19 Comment This is a far take from your wonderful underwater images, but a lovely image reminding me of my New York winters which I so loved growing up. Nice result. Mar 19th

45 Mar 19 Comment Visiting from 48 & 80. One of my first successful images was similar to this one, except it was shot straight up and there was a bird that I never saw until it was published in Petersen's Photographic about 40 years ago. Love the arches and the monochrome works very well here. Mar 19th

48 Mar 19 Comment Margaret get in touch we with me after tax season and I'll be happy to work with you on content aware. Mar 19th
48 Mar 19 Comment Mar 19th
48 Mar 19 Reply Took me a while to get used to content aware and although it is not the be all and end all it does save lots of time and I sometimes have to finish by using the clone tool. As to the color, the highlight of this image should be the curve of the railing and in my opinion although the color is pretty you have to think where you want your eye to go first. Mar 13th
48 Mar 19 Comment Thanks Mar 13th
48 Mar 19 Comment Love the image. Her smiling face and your perfect lighting conditions make it a winner in my eyes. Very well done. Mar 12th
48 Mar 19 Comment Great image. I've done some aquarium shooting but never got quite this lucky. Mar 12th
48 Mar 19 Comment Mar 12th
48 Mar 19 Comment I love the curve and colors of the stairway, but I found the window and the whitish coloring on the handrail somewhat distracting. I am submitting my suggestion for correction. The window was easily removed using content aware a couple of times to get the space to blend in with the wall and I used the same process on that white spot. What do you think? Mar 12th
48 Mar 19 Comment Mar 12th
48 Mar 19 Comment Overall a very nice image. However, I would clone out the lights on either side. I find them not clear enough to discern, but rather a distraction. Mar 12th

60 Mar 19 Comment Bill, I think I would have tried using a non-destructive layer mask to brighten up the blacks. As they are on my screen right now, it appears almost as a black blob. Mar 19th

61 Mar 19 Comment Hi, visiting from 48 & 80 - Love the expression on grandma's face. The only thing I might have done to this image would have been to either attempt to darken the background a bit or maybe blurred it so that they would really pop. Overall, being a grandma and great grandma this is a winner for me. Mar 26th

80 Mar 19 Reply Thanks for visiting and your comments. I took this trip almost 30 years ago and wouldn't do it today either. Mar 26th
80 Mar 19 Comment You should download Topaz Suite. It's a free download and you would love it. I don't remember what filter I actually use but the included options are unlimited. Mar 25th
80 Mar 19 Comment Have no idea which mosque it was. We saw so many both in Istanbul and Ankara that after a while they all blended into one. I wasn't really into photography then as I am now so it was just a grab shot that I enhanced in Topaz recently. Loved Turkey when we were there and it has some fabulous memories as I traveled with a very dear friend who is no longer with us. Thanks for your comments.
Send me your email and I'll tell you my absolutely funniest story about my trip. And thanks for your comments

80 Mar 19 Comment Nice image. I would make only 2 changes... I would brighten up the people a drop and make the entire wall on the left gray. The white is too glaring and it calls my attention away from the subject of the image. Mar 19th
80 Mar 19 Comment Does it ever stop raining in London? Well done image and excellent example of London life. Mar 19th
80 Mar 19 Comment The only change I would make to this image would be to crop out that high wire overhead which should be easily done using content aware Mar 19th
80 Mar 19 Comment Definitely a nice "street" image. I do think you have two images here pulling attractions from one to the other. I would crop this image to the right of the blue tank, and if you wanted to get really adventurous move the open sign to the front of the sidewalk. For a second image you could crop just to the left of the stand holding the prints and get two for the price of one. Overall well done as is. Mar 19th
80 Mar 19 Comment Thanks. Mar 2nd

82 Mar 19 Comment visiting from 48 & 80 What a great image to make one think what's in the subject's mind...just sightseeing, longing for someone, and on and on. Mar 19th

83 Mar 19 Comment Visiting from 48 & 80. You've had excellent commentary but if you don't mind I'll add my 2 cents for what it's worth. I much prefer the color image without the plane for the reasons mentioned Mar 19th

87 Mar 19 Comment Visiting from 48 & 80. I must be missing something because all of the commentary is on an orchard which is probably lovely but that's not what I'm seeing here. This image is a bit confusing me. I'm not sure of the purpose of the square at the bottom that the subject seems to be standing on or what his purpose is in being there. Technically it appears to be correct and I do prefer the monochrome format. Mar 19th
