Great job. Let's hope it survives the crazy world we're living in today |

I wonder it raising the iso which would increase the speed would help somewhat. Good Luck. You're far more experienced than I am. |

I find the overall quite interesting but think I would prefer it if the entire image was sharp. |

Make it four --- The bottom is too much of a good thing. Without that it's a beautiful image. |

Bill, I personally prefer the horizontal version as to me it emphasizes the vastness of the forest and what a small part of it we humans are. I would like to see her brightened up a bit though. |

As I told you, I love the image and of course the child, but I think the foliage is just a bit to glaring. I've toned that down and kept everything else in place. |

Great portrait. I agree with Hildy & Margaret on the had but it's still a great image. |

My husband loves the monkey. My biggest issue with this image is the green leaf at his head which I find distracting. If nothing else, I would consider toning it down a lot. |

I understand your reason for not cropping, and having been in Alaska and not getting lucky enough to capture one bear, I consider you quite lucky. On the other hand, the bears to kind of get lost in the vastness of the surroundings. |

Sorry I'm a bit late in commenting this month; but, I love this image and would definitely keep the bubbles. Great Image. I have to start keeping my camera open on the dining room table so I can grab it at a moment's notice. |

Interestingly enough the only complaint by the judge was not that the boat looked artificial (it was actually shot in Sidney Harbor while the sunset was on the Amazon) but that the shadow should have been darker. One of these days I'll probably submit just the sunset and see how it stands on its own, but in this case I needed the backlighting to comply with the assignment and it was the best I could conjure up considering I've been working non-stop since tax season began.
Our next assignment is either dogs, cats, or farm animals. I have this image in my head of a cow jumping over the moon, but living in citified suburbia, doubt if I'll ever find the right cow let alone the right moon.
Thanks to all for your input. |

I'm not sure I know what lines you're talking about unless you are referring to the sun lines from behind the clouds. I don't see any along the shore so I can't comment on that. |

I put this into competition tonight and was told that the shadow was too light on the water. I am really interested in your take, as I disagreed with the judge's interpretation. |
