I love monochromatic photographs with just a splash of color somewhere in the scene. As in this case, it makes the photo. |

A very nice, moody photo. The crane is a bummer and I think I would have carefully removed it. Then again, it's an accurate portrayal of the scene at the time. |

I appreciate the critiques. My original thought when converting to b&w and adjusting contrast was to open up the shadows to keep detail from being lost. This photo is about five years old, so I should probably revisit it and see if I can improve it. |

The original image is actually quite sharp but reducing it for submission made it less sharp. I suppose I could have resharpened it. |
