Hi Isaac - am heading to Yellowstone this mid-June. Tried to get there twice but some things got in the way so had to abort trip. Your sharp image of the iconic Upper Water Falls with all the different textures, colors and details intensify my desire to get there soon. |

Amazing and powerful image, Bruce, that drives the message of what these creatures deal with to feed themselves in the thick of winter. The details of the color and texture of the fur, and his facial expression, particularly the look in that eye convey determination and endurance. Then there's the cold condition that you too had to endure to photograph. Truly amazing! |

Adrian,
How lucky can a person be! You were scenic cruising in Antarctica then you take a sharp and very clear action shot of not one but two whales. This is a peak experience that someone like me who doesn't have sea legs and thus avoids cruises, particularly in cold weather, can only dream of. The added information on the challenges that these beautiful creatures face is illuminating. |

Hi Karen, you froze a magical moment here! Your timing when you took this lovely shot was perfect. The muted orange flower provides a perfect background to the beautiful bird and its distinct features, colors and texture. |

Hi Maria - your micro photography skills make me jealous and you sure have a great eye for these small creatures. I generally am afraid of and avoid spiders so this sharp and vivid capture gives me a chance to ponder on an "action" moment in one crab spider's daily life. |

Hi, Richard - such an amazing image of one of my most favorite birds! Their different facial expressions are totally amusing. Kudos for catching both. I do agree with the suggestions and adjustments and that overall this is a fine and fun capture of two beautiful creatures! |

Hi, Karen - thank you for your feedback. Are you still traveling? Am now in Seoul and beginning a two-week tour of Korea. |

Hi Bruce - I so appreciate your feedback. I like your crop as an alternative except I'd still add some room for the bird to fly to. I like the added exposure and brightening the eye. Like you said, makes the face of this lovely bird pop more. |

Hi Richard,
Thank you for your kind thoughts.
To answer your question on the shutter speed, I believe I wanted to be sure that should the bird decide to move at the last minute, I had my shutter speed covered; a case of over compensating (smile), I guess. |
