Thank you, Lauren and Ian. The picture is the shack in the middle of the desolate landscaping. I included it all, but as Ian suggested, 'some' of the foreground could be cropped out. I would not want to crop out all of the dirt because it is part of the shack's setting as I thought the mountains were. If I were to crop out the sky, the beautiful mountain scape which I loved, would be gone. My whole purpose of the image is to emphasize the little shack (that the owner said would remain) in the midst of no other form of civilization. it drew me in every time I passed its way. Thank you both for your suggestions-always welcome and makes me think! |

Love the note of 'retail therapy'. What a great shack. The only comment I would make would be to lighten the shadows on the shack and work on textures if possible on it as well. |

A nice capture, Lauren. What a lovely setting for the cabin with all of the lush foliage. Would you be able to add some texture and light to the walls? |

Nice 'hideaway'. The trees are a bit too dark and I would crop the right side after the tree on the right as it does not provide anything for the subject. I appreciate your history of the island. it must have been a treat to see it. |
