I like the way the clouds are at the top of the image-not taking the interest away from the deadwood tree. You captured it well with the 'V' holding the tree. it is well balanced on the left side by the dark, distant mountain range. |

Great tree and branches, Tatu. I enjoy the 'darkness' of the image as it contributes to the mood. I played around cropping from the bottom to the top of the connecting building. It enabled me to focus on your subject. |

What a wonderful image, Nelson. Everything looks so clear and crisp. Your contrast is perfect-lights and shadows come together well. I also wonder about the figure in the distant chair. I agree, if s/he is not integral to your image, I would remove h/er. |

Thank you all for your comments. It was, and still is, quite a freakish disaster. This image is haunting-as it captures the devastation, loneliness and example of what was left in Helen's path.
