Everone,
Thanks you for the feedback. I have been trying to get the right level of contrast. My goal is to keep the peacefulness of the scene and balance the contrast. I have yet to achieve the perfect balance. I have added a touch of coolness (blue) to enhance the feeling of cold. I will re-work it taking your comments into my process. Susan |

When I got out to the bridge around 0600, it was about 7degrees F. I was dressed for the cold and didn't feel the cold expect in my right fingers.I was thrilled with the effect that the cold and fog gave to the image Susan |

I think the crop is spot on. the left side of your image is up to the mountain. In the original image the right side has more space between the edge and the mountain, cropping it to mimic the left side gives balance to the image. I like the highlights you brought out on the rocks. It pulls my eyes into the image (to the mountains and the sky). I also like the water highlights in the water on either side of the mountain. Thanks for sharing the color image. I like the color version but find the B&W more to my taste. The highlights on the tips of the tress mimic the roof line of the church. Great composition with repeating lines and shapes. Susan |

As others have said, great vision on your site for images where others would pass by.
I like the opposite color and texture between the needle and the knot just under it. the texture is so real you can almost feel it.
