Colleagues,
Thank you for your comments. The image was actually shot inside the buildings. We had permission to go inside but no large cameras. Hence the iPhone image. I will go back to my file and will enlarge the pixels if not just an error in my selection and try to include more of the surroundings.
I just returned home from my second trip to Hokkaido. The focus was wildlife but I will share my fav landscape next month.

Ella,
A bit of a departure from your still life work. However, it is still life. I am heading to Death Valley in December, so will put this ghost town on my agenda. Great composition and texture in the ghost. Susan

Michael,
You really have two great stories in one image. I like the triangular lines of the grasses and in the mountains. As already stated, the light on the grasses is spectacular.Great capture. Susan |

Hi Ian,
My comments are similar to those of group. Would like to see a more at the top and bottom of image and perhaps a bit off each side but especially the right. I would remove the two objects on the side as they don't enhance the image.
The image itself is very interesting in that the main subject is not the lighthouse. Great capture.
Hopefully you will be back out shooting soon.

Peter,
You make me want to travel to the Dolomite region. Your image could be the poster for tourism. Great composition, texture and depth of field. I especially like the play between the mountains and the clouds. Susan |

John,
In looking at the stick it seems to be on its side rather than lying flat. I enjoy the image especially the pattern made by the blocks in contrast with the curves of the branch.
You have a gift for seeing things, that others (especially me) would walk right by. Susan |
