John,
You succeeded in finding minimal. I like the contrast and angles of the black and white and the two windows. The image looks a little grainy and windows a little soft. I wonder if it could use noise reduction and or sharpening. It may, however, just been my screen.

Well named image. Interesting swirls the lead you eye around the image. I wonder if increasing the black point in the image would give it more definition. Not sure how I would use you image to try that approach.
As for the sky, I might suggest cropping it a bit. I would go down to just above the high peak on the left. I find the lightness of the clouds at the top draw my eyes out of the image. Susan |

Ian,
I love seeing your archives. The image has a very peaceful look that is enhanced by the use of Lee filters. I agree with you to not crop the bottom of the image. For me the additional space adds symmetry to the image. The lightness on the top and L side of the rocks gives the rock formation more attention and the line itself gives movement to the image and goes well with the lighter line between the sea and sky. Michael,
Great capture of nature vs nature. I clearly see the face in the waves, the other one I need to look for. I do see a lot of detail in the rocks and in the waves. Might suggest using a little more contrast to boost the definition/contrast that is in the image.
I live in OR and travel to the coast frequently. I love sea stacks. Where in OR is this taken. From the angle it appears you are on the beach. Susan |

Ed,
You captures a wonderful image of NYC. This is difficult shooting from a boat so was glad to read that you used several tools to get the image where you wanted it. My only suggestion would be to have a bit more water in the forefront. You can use one of the AI generate tools to assist.
I really enjoy using the options available to us today. When I have time, I use them on some of my older images to see what technology can do to enhance my work. |

Ella,
Stunning. As I looked at the image, I thought, "I hope she tells us how she did that". I am not sure i will try and duplicate your technique but I love the concept.
Hope you knee heals quickly and rehab goes smoothly. I have had 4 joint replacement and all were pretty much painless. My knees have not yet been done and hoping it will not come in the near future. Heal quickly and back to shooting. Susan |
