Peter.
Thanks for your comments. I did try a more a larger scale image but did not like it as much. I have attached the image but feel it is too compressed. Other suggestions would be appreciated. Susan |

Ella,
Your images never disappoint this viewer. I loo forward to them each moth. This image is no exception. Enlarging the subject was a brilliant idea. I might suggest that the face be the brightest part of the image and decrease the brightness in the L arm to accomplish the switch. Susan |

Ed,
Great subject. Many titles as suggested by others also fit the scene. However, seeing a teenage boy, I think daydreaming fits the image. I agree with other comments re halos around the face. I like the contrast as you have presented the image and the vignette heps to focus the eyes on the subject. Susan |

Ian,
Congratulations on having your color image selected for presentation. I always struggle on how to handle the light coming though the tress. In the B&W you handled this brightness very well and actually have a leading line to the open sky. In the color image, I suspect you also removed some of the brightness. My only suggestion would be to give more contrast to the image. Perhaps darken the focal trees just a bit more. Susan |

Peter,
My eyes go right down the road to the church. Great leading line. Once at the church my eyes wander through the remaining pats of the image. The fence in the middle right take me straight to the mountain. the overall image reminds me of a pencil sketch. As usual very well done. Susan |

I really think the contrast between the clock and background is well done. Additionally the brightness of the figure on top of the clock really draws the eye to this feature. My one suggestion would be to replace the small rectangle that is to the right of the clock. AI in PS might be used or just a clone stamp of the structure behind the clock. Susan |
