Peter,
I actually did a whole series of single ice bergs. All of them looked like fishes to me. Some I did in color but I think the B&W versions are more striking. I was at the beach at least 2 mornings for several hours. I found the area magical. Susan |

Ella,
In the B&W version it is the lighting that captured my attention. In the color version the light on the green grapes are what capture me. Both images are beautiful. Susan |

Ed,
I agree with the suggestions of both Ella and Peter. I wound not have thought to move the fence but it is does make a very positive image. Susan |

Nick,
I love the image and the action you captured. Might suggest you lighten and perhaps bulge the eye of the bear. Looks like your focal length was 200 mm. That is really too close for my comfort level. Hope to see more from this series. Susan |

Ian,
I enjoyed viewing both the color and black and white version of this scene. I agree with the others re darkening down the top a bit so you eyes stay on the light in the middle. Nice work. Susan |

Peter,
Since the sea stacks are the stars of the show, I would put a linear filter over the lower one third to darken down the foreground. I might also remove the white snow covered mountain behind the sea stacks. Just some thoughts. Susan |

I am currently in Japan and have tried to shoot a few street scenes. It is an art-form I am not too good at. Takes patience. With the able to at being said, I admire those who are able to catch a moment in time that captures a story. I think this image does that. I like the signs as it adds to the story, however, perhaps darkening then a bit would make them less distracting.
I do have one image from the streets in Kyoto that I will post next month. Susan |

Lauren,
I agree with your regarding the mid-tones. I would suggest a vignette to bring your eyes more to the inner portion of the image. Perhaps brighten the trees. Once that is done, not sure what I would try on the hills. Perhaps just darken a bit. Will be interesting to see what others think would enhance this image. Susan |

Nelson,
I have grown accustomed to your work being done in color. I enjoy this one in black and white with gray branches in the foreground. Great tonal value in the image. |

Tatu,
My first look at the images, had my eyes immediately drawn into the background through the two trees. I like the softness of the shoreline. I am a fan of vignetting images but I agree with Lauren that Would like to see a little more detail in the sides of the image. Susan |

Debbie,
It most be barn month. I like the image but would suggest a vignette around the image or a darkening around the foreground. I would agree to remove the flower in the foreground. Susan |

Stuart,
I enjoy the composition of this image. I did not realize that a Iphone had an IR adjustment. Tells us more.
The image to me is a bit harsh and wonder what it would be like if you used your IR camera. Susan |
