Ed,
Yes interesting experiment. I will try to bring it right into Silver Effects as Nick suggested and then sharpen it. Dealing with the intense fog in some locations and bright sun in others made this a difficult image. Susan |

Elle,
Another great still life. The stroke around the image helps to keep the viewers eye within the frame of the picture. I would have enjoyed seeing the entire horse's head if there was more to see. Susan |

Ed,
I like the the concept of this image. I might subbest since the tones are all very similar that you darken the background to bring out the bike and rider. Susan |

Nick,
You have done a great job with your D&B of this iconic spot. I specifically like the detail in the village. Susan |

I enjoyed the owl looking right at me. Overall well processed. Suggest the nose looks a soft and you might want to sharpen it. Susan |

I enjoy the simplicity of this scene. I have not used CEP4 Detail Extractor but I suspect this tool may have enhanced the simplicity. I will try using it when I process another image. I agree with Diana that the height of the sky might be cropped a bit. Susan |

I really enjoy all the lines and angles that you captured in this image. your eye is eventually drawn to the structure (I assume the fort) at the lower right section of the image. Might suggest enhancing the sky to bring out the lines in the clouds. Susan |

Debbie,
I agree with you regarding the eyes. I find that the eyes are the most difficult element when I do IR portraits of a person. I will try your suggestion.
Recently took an IR workshop where the leader suggesting trying a portrait on an animals and see what happens to the eyes. My grandson has a totally black cat and I am anxious to see what happens. It might make a good Halloween image. Susan |

Debbie,
I always evaluate the image and then look at the comments from others. I agree with Lauren re the clouds especially the ones in the left hand. The rework is great. Susan |

Stuart,
What a great idea. How did you mount the filter? I have an external IR filter but never thought to use it the way you did. I am traveling light to Japan in Nov and using an external filter on my IPhone would solve bringing a second large camera. I enjoy all the vertical lines and triangles in your image.the only thing distracting to me is the second (higher wispy cloud) and the three hints of clouds to the right of it. Otherwise really good effort. Susan

Lauren,
Yes, I would like to see more contrast and darker area in the image. Infrared does really well on those hot sunny days when traditional camera image would be totally blown out.Looking forward to seeing some of the fields and tree images that you may have taken in the Palouse area. Susan |

Nelson,
I like your treatment of the temple buildings. I do not often use pastels in my conversions. However, I enjoy the overall effect the trees bring to the image. I am looking forward to seeing some of your other Thailand images in the coming month. Susan |

Taku,
Interesting image. I would suggest since the image lacks depth, that you darken the background. I like the fact that this area is slightly out of focus. Susan |
