76 May 25 Reply Thanks for your comments Rusty and welcome to the group. May 28th
76 May 25 Reply Thanks Ian. I know your Milky Way over London Bridge comment is not serious, but at a quick check, London light pollution is more than 60 times as bright as at is in Lewis. So instead of 30 seconds, each panel would require 30 minutes, by which time the sun would be up!! May 24th

76 May 25 Reply Thanks Trey. The red light is a radio mast which cast a huge red glow in the original images. I toned it down a lot, but I left it in to preserve the location 'as it was'. But you are right - from a pictorial point of view I should clone it out completely. May 21st

76 May 25 Reply Thanks Sanford. A lot of the effort was due to me not knowing what to do, so having to experiment. I think this is one I will use in competitions - still chasing acceptances in FIAP and PSA exhibitions. May 16th
76 May 25 Comment Now that's an unusual building - who thought that was a good spot for a church, and where is the car park? I agree with Sanford that the extra depth of colour and slight crop have improved the image and the extra cloud textures adds more interest. Did you consider a mono version? In mono, you could darken down the blue sky almost to black and go for a 'fine art' architecture feel, which I think could work really well. May 16th
76 May 25 Comment Another good travel portrait image, which really gives us a feel for the personality of this lady. Nothing much to suggest as an improvement as the colours are all complementary and natural, the background is nicely muted and the lighting is soft, but gives us detail in her face. So well done - nice image. May 16th
76 May 25 Comment This is what they call 'a well observed image', capturing a moment that most people would not even notice - it made me smile! You have been lucky (or stood in the right place?) to capture each figure framed nicely in the windows. Mono has definitely brought out the characters, but the side of the bus is a lot brighter than in the original and distracts the eye, so could be toned down in the mono conversion. I would also suggest cropping more of the road in the foreground - all the interest is on the bus. May 16th
76 May 25 Comment Always good to get up early for some sunrise photography. I like the way the wave on the left balances the headland on the righty, but I find the foreground a bit busy, and I think the image could be further improved with a bit more work. I would crop in to emphasise that balance between headland and wave, then lift the shadows even more, darken the sky and boost the saturation for a bit more punch. Attached is a suggestion. May 16th
