Thanks Trey. I agree the wall is a bit of a distraction, but it was difficult to exclude without getting up close, which then distorted the building. I thought that cropping it out might leave the church too close to the bottom edge of the image, but perhaps a combination of some cropping and then some filling might be a good compromise. |

Thanks Jay. Not sure I would say the sky is 'evil' - I would prefer 'interesting'! |

Thanks for your comments Ian. Given we were right next door, it was no great hardship to go back each morning for slightly different conditions. |

An interesting treatment that has really brought out the textures and colours in the image. I guess that the image is probably not going in a nature competition, so I would suggest removing some of the dirt on the mushrooms - there's not much there, but a few dabs with the new Photoshop remove tool would present the mushrooms at their very best. I also think a crop top and bottom would emphasise your main subject a little more. Those are only minor suggestions, overall I think the processing has produced an interesting, slightly grungy take on the mushrooms. |

Some spectacular autumn colours here, which are well set off by the dark sky which adds a complementary blue tone. I agree with Ian that the green tree on the edge could come out (that's what chain saws are for!) which would leave the dark green group as an island surrounded by yellow. I would suggest a slight skew to the image so that the strong verticals of the dark green trees are closer to vertical - they are probably growing at an angle, but I think a small adjustment would improve the image. Well done on 'finding' the picture in the forest. |

This is one of those images that really does not need much processing. A slight crop, some extra contrast (and some spot removal!) and you are done. I like that the tree at the bottom anchors one of the corners of the talus slope and provides a slight offset to an otherwise central composition. The clear sky is fine, but if you want to add some clouds, I would use a very low opacity, so that the clouds are just a subtle texture on the blue sky. A fie picture of a fine location. |
