Thanks for your comments Jay. The moon was the main idea - the bats are just a bit of fun. |

Just a thought - what about a portrait format with the steam centre and top. That way the image format would lead the eye to the steam, giving a clearer story about the reactor close to the field. |

Thanks Henriette. I was at a photoshoot on Saturday, but no Santa Claus I'm afraid. |

Thanks for the info Trey. I was aware of Vlad the Impaler but now I have looked a bit further into his story. Who knew the Digital Dialogue would be a source of information! |

I would love to have a lavender farm near us, but sadly there are none close by. You have brought out the purple of the lavender, but I do find myself looking for a clear subject in the image - shame we can't also record the fragrance. You said the smoke from the reactor was unsettling (hopefully it was steam, not smoke from a fire!), but the extra contrast of your processing has also emphasised the steam - was this your intention? Of course it could easily be removed with the Photoshop remove tool if you wanted, but then it would not quite be the scene as you saw it. |

An interesting slice of African wildlife, showing us how the animals interact. I like the wide presentation to show us the zebras surrounded by egrets (but 'lynx' eyes has spotted the head of a gazelle at the far left which could be cropped or cloned out!). Shame one of the zebras is showing its backside, but animals never take directions. A good image to remind you of your safari. |

Good autumn colour which contrasts nicely with the blue roof of the house. Also a good looking property and the school bus adds feel of rural America to the scene. Of course we also have the farm buildings which are a bit less attractive, but that's all part of the story. I think the processing is about as good as could be done, so well done on capturing and presenting the scene. |

It's good to try out different techniques and a stitched panorama is a great way to get a wide view without using a wide angle lens. What program did you use for stitching? Whatever, it looks successful and gives us a balanced view, contrasting the natural forest with the burned area. Also a nice range of bright contrasting colours - blue, orange and green. You could practice your verticals on this image, as the trees are slightly leaning in - especially on the left side. |

I know that there is an area of colourful mountains in Iceland called Landmannalaugar (I had to cut/paste the spelling!) Is this from that area? The drone provides an elevated view along the ridge, so the path acts as a lead-in. Good saturation (maybe slightly too much - or is that how it was?) and a nice bit of texture in the sky. Well done.
PS - that's quite an edit from the original!! |

Thanks Sanford. It's a spotlight to light up the cliff. Yes, perhaps I should have tried to balance the light running up the cliff face. |
