Hi Frans- I really like this- especially the closer-in shot which tells the story more clearly. I love the whales in the foreground, the boat in midground, and two levels of mountains in the background. Couldn't be better. And I agree, for a shot in a moving boat, it's well caught and very sharp. |

Hi Geoff- Like the others, I'm a bit puzzled by what I'm looking at. There's nothing that gives it context or perspective. It's pretty colors, and a nice abstract, but not quite sure how to look at it as a landscape.

Hi Pierre
I love the colors of the sky against the water: what a peaceful attractive scene! My main concern would be where the point of interest - the focal point- of the picture is? It would be nice if there were a man in a boat fishing in the lake, or a protruding rock, or something specific to draw the eye. Just a thought. |

Hi Scott,
Nice to see your first image! LIke the others, I'm drawn to the path through the tree tunnel, which is very inviting. However, the color seems so unnatural that it's a little disturbing. I do like the B/W conversion that Pierre suggested: that seems to capture the special nature of the tree tunnel and allow the imagination to take you forward to the end. The others have made some good suggestions about capturing the right colors. |

Thanks so much, Frans! Excellent observation and comment! I need to be more aware of clipping and use of bracketing. Thanks for the youtube video on that. |
