Hi Pierre, You have good eyes. No, I didn't see that before, but I do now. I used to use polarizers but didn't think they made much difference, but maybe I should rethink that.

Hi Frans- I love looking down a long dappled path with contrasting colors of trees on either side: really an appealing scene. I had to look at the picture a few times, however, before I realized there were people on the right side of the path. They seem a bit lost in the shadows, and could add to the story if they were more visible. I tried making them a little brighter and I think they help improve the picture. |

Hi Pierre- Your colors are great with the blue skies and green grass broken up with the water and fallen trees. I like the reflections of the sky in the water, as well. The one focal point seems to be the tall tree in the middle, but I'm not sure it really defines the scene. Maybe, if it were bigger or mor prominent? I tried making that tree a bit larger and the putting some vignetting around the edges to focus the attention on the tree in the center to see if that helped. What do you think? |

I echo Pierre's comments about whether this photo is from outer space. It's extremely striking with its colors and shadows, and could be a great Martian landscape. I think you could make a book or calendar of images like this. |
