Thanks, Pierre-
Yes, it is naturally a bit bright here, but I actually lightened the shadows somewhat because I thought they looked too dark. I guess that's just a matter of taste.
About the wide angle- yes, it is but I cropped the sides a bit, since they were seemed a little distorted. Wide angle certainly has advantages and disadvantages. Kirk |

Hi Frans,
That's one of my bucket list spots where I'd love to visit. Such a beautiful view of the Amalfi Cathedral. While the archway forms a nice framing of the tower, the wide angle tilting of the edges is a little annoying from my perspective. I wonder is the walls could be straightened a bit and still give that strength of framing. I tried that using the perspective warp of Photoshop and a little generative fill around the edges and came up with the attached. |

You're in one of my favorite parts of the world, Kathryn- what a great scene. You had a beautiful day for a shot, and I agree with Geoff that the actor with the white coat adds a great personal dimension. I also agree that it would be nice to draw the picture in by cropping the bottom and left and even the top a bit to bring out the central scene. Love it! |

Wow- this is just a classic Geoff! It looks hot and barren, but still has the vibrancy of human activity and expression through the touching artwork. Love the colored tires on that parched ground in front. Hard to imagine living in those conditions, but you caught it well. Love it!

I like this, Pierre- enough roughness in the water to get a feeling of its strength, and enough smoothness to be able to focus on the rocks in the center. Is that a railroad or train going by in the background? You didn't mention it in your description, but it helps to tell the story of the location. Nice! |

Thanks, Geoff. It's a bit hard to arrange for clouds in New Mexico, which is quite dry and usually has clear blue skies. Just a lucky break that day. |
