Thanks, Geoff. I was pleased to find that old stump close to the water and made it much more prominent here than in my original shots. And yes, I think I can give more space on the left, as you suggested. Thanks so much!

Good suggestions, Frans! Before I submit the picture elsewhere, I'll give more space on the left (I cropped too much of it from my original) and work on the DOF. Thanks so much!

Thanks, Pierre- I'm sure you're right about getting better focus on the ferry. At the time I stopped there, the ferry was coming and passing quickly and there wasn't time for a tripod or second focus. But really appreciate your thoughts on that. And after the fact, I agree with you that the stump was more important than the ferry as a focal point for the picture- catching the ferry there just seemed like a nice opportunity. |

Hi Frans, I really like what you did with the picture: the end result is really a winner! You said it's the result of "extensive" editing, but it really looks natural, and very attractive. This is certainly worth publishing. |

Hi Geoff- This image was a little confusing to me. As Pierre said, the horizontal water and sky seem normal, but the curving foreground and buildings in the middle make it look like a very wide stitched picture. It's hard for me to get the right perspective for viewing it. The colors are wonderful and it's beautifully sharp, but the bending lines in the bottom part against the straight lines in the back are hard to process. |

Very attractive, Pierre! Love the warmth of the sunrise reflected in the water: and the ducks provide a perfect point of interest in the foreground. I agree with Frans about the rocks in the lower left: as small rocks they're a distraction, but if they were larger, they could be an interesting part of the foreground. Nice shot!
