70 Jul 24 Reply Great comments, Frans! Since the image was taken late in the day, the color was much warmer at first, and I thought it was too warm, but maybe I cooled it down too much. Thanks for the thoughts about unsharpening some areas. Jul 26th

70 Jul 24 Comment Wow- that's an extremely attractive, intriguing shot, Frans! I love all the curving lines in the well-lit nearby hill contrasted with the darker hill behind. And the little house and human figures at the top really animate the picture and give it character! Was this shot from a drone, or did you have a higher ground perch from which to take this shot?
This could be in National Geographic, and a real award-winner.

70 Jul 24 Comment Hi Kathryn, Like you, I'm very attracted to the light at this angle and time of day! It really sets off the white lighthouse against the darker woods behind. I'm wondering if the edges were cropped just a bit, if it would emphasize the lighthouse more and give it more of a commanding presence in the image. I tried that with the attached image. But I'm really attracted to the picture and the location and wish I could go there in person. Jul 9th
70 Jul 24 Comment That's a nice composite, Geoff- tells a nice story! Were the images on the same night? The moon has a nice sharpness which would seem to come from a much longer lens than 70mm- or is it significantly enlarged? But I really like the overall effect and can imagine that this image will win some awards. Jul 9th
70 Jul 24 Comment Hi Pierre- That's so neat to see the red moon above the skyline of the city- and there's just enough of the city there to make it interesting- especially with some of the city lights reflected in the water. There's a lot to like here. I'm a little puzzled by the dark red color of the moon. Is that the way you remember it: seems a little oversaturated, but since nice. Jul 9th
70 Jul 24 Comment There's so much to love about this image, Tami: the splashing waves catching the sun rays, the lighthouse towering above the clouds, the water reflections with the rocks, the sense of action with the pending sunset, the colors overall! You've really captured the moment in a great image! Congratulations!
