Thanks so much, Frans! I've never seen those 4 essential elements spelled out before, but they make sense. Glad my image was able to address those adequately!

Thanks for your thoughts, Geoff. I was obviously lucky with the natural lighting that day. |

Hi Pierre,
Such nice colors from the sunrise- very appealing. My eye wants to focus on the evergreen tree in the foreground middle, but keeps being drawn back to the sunrise. I wonder if it would help to brighten the foreground and that tree a bit to provide some balance. |

Hi Frans, Thanks for posting this. I like the scene very much- very bucolic and appealing- and especially the way you've enhanced the lighting to bring out the homes. However, the picture seems like it would be better if it were cropped and had fewer elements to focus on. I tried to do that to see how it would look, and here's the result. It's certainly a place I'd love to visit. |

Hi Geoff, I really like this picture: the reddish tint gives it a mysterious feeling. You combined the photos well so that it looks like a single shot. I'm surprised that a 30-second photo of the sky would have such sharp stars: I've usually found that they start showing movement after 20 seconds. But the photo gives you the feel that Ayers Rock is glowing and radiating in the sky. Well done!
