Thanks so much for your comments, Geoff! As you said, some things happen by luck- but sometimes takes patience.

Thanks so much, Pierre. I was a long way away from the scene that shows in the picture, and had to do serious cropping, but I was glad there was still enough detail in the dikes that radiate away from the Shiprock volcano to show up well. I stayed there several hours waiting for some good light, and finally got it just at sunset. |

Thanks so much, Terina. The sky was pretty Blah until right at sunset, so I was pleased to finally get a little of the warm sunset light. It's really an amazing place that makes you want to return again and again.

Thanks, Pierre. Appreciate the insights. I obviously need to do more research on astro-conversions if I'm going to try more night photography. |

Hi Frans- Such a lovely evening scene with the man standing in front of the lighthouse at sunset. I like the trees in silhouette, but it's a little more appealing to me to see a bit more detail in the lighthouse. I lightened the building up just a little to see how that worked (attached). The picture with the man in it tells a nice story. |

Hi Geoff- That's really a neat image: what a great painting on the silos in the front, with the shadows pointing to the field where the grain grows. Is the done with a drone: hard to imagine a viewpoint where you could get that picture without a drone. Only one little comment: about the road on the right- it would be nice to have a little more of the road, or less of it, if that were possible (but probably wasn't). I really like the picture. |

Hi Terina, Another gorgeous waterscape, highlighted by an amazing sunrise. I expecially like the way the long rocks in front guide your eye into the picture, and the hill on the right provides some counterbalance to the sunrise on the left. Well done! |

Hi Tami, I like the way the handrail points to the mountains and the clouds seem to explode above the mountain The green hills in the front and the blue mountains in the back make a nice contrast, but I wonder if the sky seems a little oversaturated? It's certainly a place I'd like to go. |

HI Pierre, I love your starry night picture featuring the tent! I love Arches, too, and spent several days there last year. I'm amazed that you could get such a clear image of the Milky Way and detail of the mountains behind with an 8-second photo, and really impressed that you could include the tent in single image. It can be really dark there, and I would think it would take much longer to record that much detail. What do you mean by an astro-converted camera: that's a new one for me. Anyway, I think the composition is great!
