70 Oct 22 Reply Thanks so much, Pierre. When I took and processed the picture, it didn't seem too saturated to me- but I was also excited by the experience of taking it and kind of liked the stronger colors and impact. Now that I look at it from a distance, I can see what you mean about the colors and will be more careful about saturation in the future.

And thanks for your good wishes about our situation here in Fort Myers, we feel so fortunate, but also so sad for so many others. Over 100 people were killed by the storm- 60% by drowning- and there's no recovery for them. This will long be remembered as one of the worst storms in US history.

70 Oct 22 Reply Thanks, Terina. We're home, but our area was hit hard- so much destruction all around us. We're fine because our apartment was above the tidal surge, but most homes around here got 8-10 feet of water and some of those homes and businesses got blown away altogether. It was a terrible storm. Thanks for your comment about my picture. I'm really drawn to Canyon de Chelly and want to go back there. Oct 18th
70 Oct 22 Comment Hi Frans- those colors make a great impact- and it does look like you are flying over the scene rather than perched on a hill. My only concern was arm of land on the left which seems to be surrounded by water, but since that's such a narrow sliver of water and the top of the landform is missing, it's hard to figure out what I'm looking at. I think the beach is the main subject of the picture, and if that's the case, the water on the left may be a little distracting and could be cropped out. Or if the arm of land is important, it seems that more of it and more water around it needs to show. But I do like the picture and would love to see a place like that.

70 Oct 22 Comment Hi Kathryn, I really love the flowing water and misty clouds as contrasted with the sharp rocks and trees -at just the right time of day. It's a refreshing picture I could enjoy on my wall. Great job!

70 Oct 22 Comment Hi Geoff- The undulating landscape and shadows in your image are really striking- one of the best examples of aerial photography I've seen. I agree with Frans that the colors seem just a bit unnatural or oversaturated, and that the image would be improved through desaturating.

70 Oct 22 Comment Hi Terena, Your picture really grabbed my attention with its offset single subject- a very artful composition, and lovely colors. The object on the lower left is a little distracting and could easily be removed for a really perfect composition.

70 Oct 22 Comment Pierre, A really nice moody morning picture! I like it as it, but think a little more lighting in the grass in the foreground might make it "pop" a bit more.

70 Oct 22 Comment I really like this, Tami. It's a great time of day to catch both the lights, the sky and land details. It's a perfect sky for this longer exposure to get the blurry clouds. I expecially like the directional lines moving toward the bridge contrasted with bridge lines moving another direction. It's a very attractive picture, and I wouldn't change a thing.
