Charles, as a life-long competitive sailor (mostly small boat racing), I was drawn to your image. Your editing has been masterful, turning a drab image into an exciting photo. The viewer can easily see that your subject has has a tough day and probably experienced a capsize or worse. Did you consider putting the red back in the subject's jacket?

Sanat, this is a very nice, well balanced image with a warm sense of place. The colors are bright but not overly so, and the hut anchors the scene. I agree with Charles that the deep blue sky needs a few clouds to make it more interesting. |

Quang Phan, it's a beautiful scene. On first impression It looks like you created your photo layer by layer and, by doing so, pulled together a really cohesive image. The boardsailor pulls the eye into the picture. There's a lot to look at in the background, but it's all good. |

Thanks, Charles, your point is well made. In PP I tried many different crops, but kept going back to this one. Guess I get overly attached to my sweeping panorama. Tonight my camera club is having a critique session; I'll bring this pic along plus a more rigorous crop.
