Thanks, Trey. When you use the term "burn", does that mean to darken, lighten, or other. At 86, I need a reminder!!!! |

Hi Sanat:
Thank you for giving us the travelogue of this beautiful part of your country. I was drawn in by the boat and the fishermen so far away from the sea. I agree with Brian: by cropping top and bottom you would give more prominence to the boat and the people.

Brian:
A "beautiful foggy morning" indeed. The solitary figures with the pigeon in the foreground and the woman moving off into the background work perfectly together. The gnarly trees in the mist lend a sense of mystery. Your image tells a story with many possible endings.

Hi Trey: This is a beautiful Winter scene; all the elements work together nicely: the road leads the viewer in and lends depth; your lighting captures the mist and its effects on the trees and their surroundings. Overall, there is a "softness" which reflects what a winter scene is all about.

This is a very unique and captivating image of a beautiful subject. However, I find that the brilliance of the lighting and the blue in the sky are overdone. I would prefer a softer, less surreal treatment. |

You chose a spectacular venue for this shot, and made the most of it through your editing, producing a dramatic and compelling image. I might suggest that you give a little more light to the the left side of the photo, and back off a bit on the overall sharpness of the image. Really nice work.

I love your photo AND your poetry!! Your subject is beautifully composed and lends itself well to B&W. Did you shoot in monochrome or shoot in color and convert? On my screen your image is a bit too dark, but that may be what you intended. It certainly draws the viewer into the image.
